Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

They already went that route with John Wesley Shipp, since he plays the Henry Allen of Earth-1, the Barry Allen of Earth-90, and the Jay Garrick of Earth-3.
There, you could rationalize it that he was the same individual who had been named differently on the different Earths. The Routh situation is taking it to a new level, since it's pretty difficult to fanwank Kal-El of Krypton into being the same dude as Ray Palmer of Earth (not to mention looking totally different from the Kal-El of Earth-38).

Ray does have a cousin who looks like Kara, so....

Crisis on Infinite Earths is being taken too literally. It's clearly being used as an excuse to exploit stunt cameo casting. Not that I oppose that, but let's just see it for what it is.

It's a shame Allison Mack has gone and destroyed her reputation, I would have loved to have seen Chloe again.
Yeah, I loved Chloe on Smallville. Mack was actually a pretty terrific actress, and brought a lot of energy and emotion to that role. One thing I always remember is that she didn't do stylized actorly crying; her eyes got red and her face got blotchy and she looked miserable like real people do. She was one of the real strengths of that show, and it's so bizarre where she ended up.

At least we know a version of Chloe exists in the Arrowverse. I got a huge kick out of her name-drop in "Midvale."

Marc Guggenheim confirms that they are actively courting Smallville actors, and apparently hoping for some DC movie tie-ins besides Super-Routh:

It looks like they really are trying to tie together as many live-action DC continuities as possible as parts of the same multiverse. The Arrowverse Wiki people are gonna go nuts trying to sort this out.

I wonder how far afield they're willing to go? Lucifer? Seg-El from "Krypton"? Lee Tompkins from "Gotham"? I wonder if Michael Caine has his eye on something a check from DC/WB/CW could cover? ;)

They should get Aaron Ashmore from Smallville so the two Jimmy Olsen's can meet.

James: what the hell? I'm white???

How about Shaq returning as Steel? Nah

Now they just need to add Supernatural or the Looney Tunes to it. :)

I still think Constantine should have replaced supernatural a couple years ago. They definitely could have brought it all into the same multiverse considering where last season's supernatural went.
