Spoilers Arrow - Season 6

I think it's a way of giving Willa Holland a final sendoff. She's had a reduced role for a couple of seasons now, and I think this was how they chose to write her out for good, while also giving her arcs some closure. I'm not sure, though.

In general, though, I've been thinking that it might be time for Arrow to wrap things up for good and for Berlanti Productions to create a new show to take its place, maybe reshuffling some of the existing cast of the various shows. If Diggle's unhappy with being a second banana, maybe he could split off and lead his own new team, as Spartan or some other identity, and be the anchor of a new team show.

Those are good options. As much as I still love Arrow, it's sorta run its course I feel. I could totally enjoy Stephen Amall showing up as Ollie in the other shows every now and then, and some of the other characters here and there. Have we heard anything about a possible season 7?

Or any more episodes full stop?

Seem to recall reading she was contracted for 13 eps this season. Anyone got a count on how many she's done?

Didn't count, sorry. But it seems like a weird send-off though. I mean, she basicly sorta said I still wanna be a vigilante, and be with Roy. And she has very specific mission. It didn't feel like a real goodbye yet

Thats it for them this season, but its all been left open as a dangling plot thread that they can go back to if and when they want to. Not sure if there is an actual plan, or what future contracts and guest stars would be like, but worst case, its a seed for the series finale, where they can bring back all of the show's regulars from the early seasons, including Malcolm, and go full circle.

If they weren't doing the Nightwing based Titans series already, I would totally suggest Roy as the leader, and form the Arrowverse version of the Titans, with Deathstroke as a permanent ally/adversary.

As I'm sure you've all heard, the 7th season renewal is in. Arrow will last at least as long as TNG. That's... uh, it's something, I guess. :p

TNG overstayed it's welcome.

If Diggle really wants to put on a hood, Speedy's is now available...

Anyone else expected a boom tube when they opened the Mother Box? :D

Sigh. You know, for a moment, I really thought Oliver and John were going to get through it -- that, like family, they'd have a huge fight and then make up and stay together. And they did make up on a personal level, but John still left. The producers are going too much out of their way to isolate Oliver. It's starting to get a bit ridiculous.

In-story, though, I agree with John. Oliver is spreading himself too thin, and his decisions are compromised. If you ask me, the best fix would be to promote John to team leader. Let him be the one formulating the plans and strategies, while Green Arrow remains the point man in the field. If being GA completes Oliver, fine, but GA is basically a fighter, not a leader.

Anyone else get the feeling this is going to end up like when Wesley became the boss of Angel Investigatons and Angel became an employee. They'll all get together again but with someone else (Dinah or John) being the boss

The scenes with John and Oliver were some of the best this season has had. The rest was more melodrama in a season that has spread out too thin. I'm looking back on the season and wondering do we really need half this stuff. This feels like the longest season ever and this was only episode 17.

It's hard to be on Diggle's side, to be honest.

The show is trying to tell us that Ollie has been a bad leader, but, it has consistently shown us for the past six years he's gotten the job done. He's the one that figures out how to save the day, he's the one that sacrifices to win the day. Yes, he's compartmentalizes, but... so does everyone else on the show. They ALL keep secrets.
I don't think Diggle really has much of a point on Ollie spying on the new kids. ONE OF THEM WAS A TRAITOR. ONE OF THEM SPILLED ON OLLIE.

If Ollie HADN'T found something, then, yeah, I would buy the whole your leadership sucks... But, he has consistently been right. This season hasn't been about how Ollie has been divided in his attention. If Ollie had made a mistake and that allowed the Bad Guy to take a foothold, sure, I might buy that argument, but, what was the mistake? It seemed like the Bad Guy had everything in place...

So, it's hard to take this plot point very seriously, when they have been giving us evidence that contradicts all they are telling me.

I want this season to be over. I want season 7 to be the last. And I want the writers to know that so they can plan.

Yeah. I should've said that, while I do think the whole "everyone leaves Oliver" thing is getting out of hand, the confrontation was effectively written and very well-played by Amell and Ramsey.
