Spoilers Arrow - Season 5

That would depend on if they decided to give her the powers before or after they killed her.

And whether they could salvage the love story without the pain and realization that comes with *death* attached to it.

I really hope they don't salvage this love story. I'm unfortunately thinking the reporter will be tied to Prometheus, but I'm kinda liking that relationship right now. It's at least better than all the relationship angst that came before.

They're going all in with sci fi show references in titles this year.
That's two for Babylon 5, one for DS9, one kinda TNGish, and one of the upcoming episodes is going to be called Spectre of the Gun.

Did Bruce Springsteen have a Star Trek or sci fi titled song? That could be a clue to the penultimate episode. ;)

It was swell to see Katie Cassidy again. I had completely forgotten about the Black Siren, but how did she know about the Waverider and all that time travel stuff, especially if she had been in prison all that time?

Stubborn Ollie wouldn't listen to Felicity, thinking Doppelganger-Laurel could be his chance at redemption. Sigh, what else is knew?

Self-doubt seems to be a common theme in the Arrowverse. From Ray Palmer lamenting he wasn't good enough without his power suit to Mr. Terrific thinking he wasn't good enough without special powers. But he proved to be instrumental in defeating Black Siren with his sonic dampening device.

Nice return for Arrow. I appreciated that the whole Laurel thing was dealt with in the first 10 minutes, but the rest of the episode followed that pretty well. Looking forward to meeting this new Canery, who made quite an entrance both in the flashbacks and in the present. Excited to see if this season can keep going like in the first 9 episodes. In the previous 2, this was where the season fell a part but I have hope that doesn't happen here.

Also, please get Curtis out of the field. I hope this was a start to that happening.

I was thinking Prometheus told her. That whole thing was a set up by him against Team Arrow afterall.

The new Black Canary wasn't IN the flashbacks; the character who rescued Oliver in Russia is Talia al Ghul, Nyssa al Ghul's sister and Matt Noble's Ra's al Ghul's other daughter.

So it wasn't the same person in the flashbacks as it was in the Bar? I thought it was.

In any case the character in the Bar had a nice introduction too.

The new Black Canary is a brand-new Arrow-exclusive character named Tina Boland, who is a former Central City Police Detective with "loss issues" and a dislike of vigilantes.

In the flashback, Ollie was rescued by an archer. At first he hallucinated and saw Laurel, then it turned out to be Talia, played by Lexa Doig.

Cut to the present and Ollie is talking about training a new Black Canary. Then we see a woman in a bar played by Juliana Harkavy. Fun Fact: The actress appeared on Constantine.

Thing is, why kill off Laurel and get a new Black Canary?

I rewatched the ending scene and yeah they are completely different, mainly due to the accents. What is with the shows this week and confusing characters. Not a good way to actually start talking about this show on a weekly basis. ;)

Wait does the new Canary shown at the end already have sonic scream? come on ffs

but how did she know about the Waverider and all that time travel stuff, especially if she had been in prison all that time?

Prometheus would have Intel thanks to Artemis most likely.
