I really hope Prometheus doesn't turn out to be Malcolm, or, worse yet, Tommy.

He's not Malcolm, doubt they'd do him again, plus he's on Legends this season.
He obviously knew Oliver was Green Arrow, so it might be Tommy.
Could be Mick Rory if that was the same ninja star that Vixen gave him at the end of last week's Legends... ;)

I have a question: did everyone here correctly realize that Christopher Chance is the "old friend" that Diggle mentioned to Oliver?

The reason I ask is that I've seen several places incorrectly identify Chance as being an "old friend" of Oliver's, even though the episode itself clearly establishes that Oliver and Chance met, officially, for the very first time offscreen during the present-day events of the episode after Diggle called Chance up and asked him to come to Star City, even though Chance already knew who Oliver was on account of having been hired by Anatoly to protect Oliver in Russia back in 2011/2012.

Yeah, that was clear enough. I'd read a previous report citing Chance as an old friend of Oliver's, but I'm glad they went a different route, because that would've been too much of a rehash of what they did with Constantine and Vixen. Nice to have another character have connections for a change. (And the version of Chance in the '92 series was an Army vet, so if that's true here too, it makes sense for Diggle to be the one who knows him.)

Still, it was a bit anomalous, because the scene where the team remarked that Oliver sounded abnormally optimistic -- which made me wonder if he was Chance in disguise already -- came before the scene where Diggle said he knew a guy.

I just assumed Diggle knew him from his bodyguarding days.
That's the most logical time when they could have crossed paths.

Count one more viewer here who immediately recognized Michael Dorn's voice.
Pretty cool they are going for people like Todd and Dorn to do the villains this way.

I really enjoyed the last episode.
Christopher Chance was a cool edition to the show, and it was nice to see a version of him that stuck closer to his comic book roots.
I liked the stuff we got between Rene and John.
The reveal that Prometheus and Church were working together was a big surprise, and so was seeing them kill off Church.
I'm very curious to see who Prometheus is, luckily they don't tend to drag out theses kinds of mysteries so we shouldn't have to wait to long to find out.

But they weren't working together. When Prometheus showed up, it was to punish Church for disobeying his instructions to leave the Arrow alone. Church explained that the Arrow had come after him, but Prometheus didn't accept that and shot an arrow at Church. That's when the unnamed masked assassin appeared and saved Church, and since Church had his own super-muscle, Prometheus withdrew.

Oh yeah. Who was the costumed guy that Church had with him? They never named him. He had a great costume.

And I can think of his name of the actors name off the top of my head but Dr. Alchemy sounds like he's voiced by Degra from Enterprise
