Speaking of "Felicity", I did not realize the irony behind her name.
Well, they kind of stretched the definition. Basically felicity means happiness or bliss (it's from the Latin word for happiness), but can also be used to mean skillful or appropriate expression or style.
It was cute to see Felicity trying to use the same kind of lame cover stories with Curtis that Ollie used to try on Felicity back in season 1. Just as well it didn't last long, though.
That annoyed me, both because it pulled me out of what should've been a serious moment... and because Barrowman flubbed the line in a way that totally screwed up its meaning. It should be "has not been done since ages past." Saying "has not been done in ages past" is nonsense, because it's saying it's never been done at all.

Yeah, I laughed out loud at that one and totally distracted my wife's enjoyment of the moment. Win some, lose some. 
Thing is though, did Barrowman flub the line? The way he said it, it doesn't make that much sense grammatically.
Felicity going all den mother on Ollie and Dig was fun - as was her trying in vain to disguise having Holt look into Martouf's tattoo thing without springing the worst kept secret hero team on the planet aside from Team Flash. Holt should have had more of a denouement though instead of just disappearing - what was he doing, telling his also-gay uncle in Brooklyn all about it?
And it was good to see that the new arrow cave was in fact under the Palmer building instead of just some random place (or wherever Oliver's oft-seen backup hideout was). However, we saw concept art earlier of a wicked-awesome new lair previously, and this certainly isn't it. Did the cancel out of that?
And as for the flashbacks, I'm guessing he won't be island-bound for too long. After all, at SOME point he still has to be a Captain in the Russian mafia and presumably re-engage with Zelenka at that point.

That's not the "new arrow cave" from the promotional shots. Remember at the end of the episode Ollie said he'd been working on a surprise?
I think that's still coming (probably next week) given Oliver's lines about he'd been working on a new lair and it wasn't a secret, "it's a suprise".

Running for mayor is a stupid idea for Ollie to have. Especially after all the past seasons about him whining about "no time for a personal life". Does he really think he'll be able to spend any time as Green Arrow when he's such a public figure as a Mayor?

Assertive Felicity is a version of that character that I would like to see more of. Emily Bett Rickards was on fire with the material she was given this week.
Agreed. The writers seem to have learned from their mistakes with her character last season.
It makes perfect sense- he's painting the target on himself and trying to draw Darkh out.
Not to mention that he's a different person now. He's no longer the brooding loner that he was in the first three seasons. He wants to have a personal life and a superhero life.
But it seems like a bad idea for someone with a big secret in his life (i.e. being a superhero) to bring down the kind of scrutiny that comes with a political campaign. Although in this case, he'd be running unopposed in a city that's pretty desperate for anyone to be mayor, so that would make it easier.
