I think Diggle is using tranquilizer darts. In at least one of the scenes they seemed to have more of a dart sound than a bullet sound.

This was a good episode. As a Voyager fan, I got a big kick out of seeing Jeri Ryan.
The possible Mr. Terrific seems like he should be a good edition to the cast.
Is Anarchy so nuts in the comics? For some reason I was thinking I'd read somewhere that he was more of an anti-hero type at times.
We got some great stuff for Thea this week.
Wow, I didn't expect to actually Sarah's body like that. I wonder if this means Laurel and Thea are going to be bringing Sarah back in secret. I was wondering what could possibly get Ollie to use the Pit again, so it would make a lot more sense if he wasn't involved.

Apparently Anarky was meant to be an "anti-villain," a criminal with principled intentions, but he hasn't always been portrayed consistently. The version of Anarky who was the main villain in Beware the Batman was reimagined as more of a mastermind in the vein of The Dark Knight's Joker (toned down for kids' TV), but he wasn't very anarchic, since he tended to employ a chessplayer motif, and chess is a very orderly game.

Wow, I didn't expect to actually Sarah's body like that. I wonder if this means Laurel and Thea are going to be bringing Sarah back in secret. I was wondering what could possibly get Ollie to use the Pit again, so it would make a lot more sense if he wasn't involved.

I guess this scuttles the theory that Captain Lance is working with Darhk in exchange for getting Sara back. So we still don't know what Darhk's hold on him is.

No, that was evidently a new threat that Darhk hadn't made before, finding it inelegant. Whatever brought Lance under his thumb in the first place must be something different.

Though different cause but Speedy died one of the comics iirc.

Still betting on Laurel. Something needs to balance the resurrection of Sarah and Quentin hasn't suffered enough yet apparently.

I actually think it's Quentin in the grave. Ollie looked upset, sure, but not heartbroken. (And Barry worked with Lance as well, hence his presence in funeral attire.) I'm guessing that Quentin will go out with a noble finish after turning against Darkh.

I actually think it's Quentin in the grave. Ollie looked upset, sure, but not heartbroken. (And Barry worked with Lance as well, hence his presence in funeral attire.) I'm guessing that Quentin will go out with a noble finish after turning against Darkh.

I don't see Barry being late for Felicity's funeral with basically a 'oh, sorry' attitude.

Laurel is seemingly protected by who she is. If it was Thea Oliver would've been floored.

I'm betting either Captain Lance or Dig. Hopefully the former if it's between the two.

Darhk's principles seem a bit fuzzy to me...if you kidnap someone's daughter, it's crossing the line...but that's a good idea, I think I'll threaten to kidnap someone's daughter at the next possible opportunity!

Two possibilities.

1. He has a "personal" relationship with Jessica. If Madison is his (grand?)daughter, small universe syndrome, then of course different rules apply.

2. He really needs Lance to accomplish a future goal, and this would piss off Lance.

I was watching yesterdays episode when I realized, I didn't like a single second of it. From the Thea drama to Felicity's stupid Palmer Tech arc to Detective Lance being the worst non-villain character in the Flashverse to horribly boring flashback scenes, its all intolerable. I was mostly hanging on so I wouldn't miss team ups between Arrow and Flash or set up for Legends of Tomorrow, but I think those will be very few and I can always watch an odd episode if I need to.

Arrow went from having a great first season to a horrible third season and an extremely boring start of a fourth season. I don't like any of the characters anymore, and its just not entertaining to watch. So, I'm done. I'll stick with The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow (when it comes out).

With JD, I was surprised they actually showed Sara. That shot of her face is probably one of the most interesting shots of the whole series so far.

It seemed odd that they were playing Jeri's character as a contemporary of Moira's...ten-year age difference between the actresses.

Felicity as CEO just doesn't seem like a good fit. If Palmer is in so much trouble, maybe the CEO should be spending her time doing things other than personally laying off employees one at a time. They don't have an HR department?

Perhaps they met through their daughters? Ryan is old enough to have a daughter Holland's age.

Ray seemed to be a bad fit as a CEO as well.

This show is oddly inconsistent about violence. Diggle is going around shooting bad guys left and right, yet it's crossing the line when Thea almost kills someone?

I dont think that are generally against killing anyone. Just Oliver being against her sister killing anyone or being too violent. I think that before Oliver returned they pretty much let Thea beat everyone up.

And why didn't Felicity just have Curtis apply his algorithm the way he originally designed it, to develop ways to increase worker salaries rather than laying them off? It seems that would've been a simpler fix.

Company is losing money and going under and solution would be to increase salaries? I dont think that that would work..

But as Curtis explained, the purpose of his algorithm was to find a way that salaries could be increased without hurting the company, by optimizing its efficiency and cutting waste, I guess. Of course it's not as simplistic as just raising salaries, period -- otherwise there'd be no need for a complex computer algorithm.

And really, most of the time, laying off the workforce is just an excuse for the executives to avoid losing their multigajillion-dollar bonuses. The guy on the board claimed that Felicity had already cut their executive bonuses and whatever and the company was still tanking, but I just bet they were still making orders of magnitude more money than the rank-and-file employees were. I was hoping Felicity's solution would be to fire the whole board, turn it into an employee-owned company.

I guess that depends on how much stock in the company the board owns. Felicity would certainly have a majority stake in it thanks to Ray, and is thus why the board hasn't fired HER on the spot. But in order to fire THEM, would she not have to buy out their stake in the company as well, putting the company into further debt?

EDIT - Looking it up, last year Oliver owned 45% of the stock in the company when Ray took it over. I'm guessing that was done at the behest of the board, and whatever stock Ray personally owned was signed over to Felicity (as well as the title of CEO) upon his death. As such, between Ray and Oliver they (and subsequently Felicity) had the controlling interest in Palmer Technologies, allowing Felicity to be in charge and un-fireable.
