Arrow - Season 3

Diggle should not be retconned at this point.

If the movies are going with John Stewart then maybe Hal could join the group next season. The ending of the current season would be a great set up for the Green Lantern/Green Arrow stories of the seventies--and the political climate in the U.S. would make those stories very relevant right now.

Yes. Yes it would.

It would take a HUGE amount of insight and some fantastic writing, but maybe if done right they could pull a NuBSG rabbit out of a hat from that pair up that would get people talking at the water cooler.

I have a finale question.

Diggle and Thea were on the guy that spread the virus, the one they shot and who then slit his own throat.

Malcolm took out another by breaking his neck.

Laurel and Nyssa were on the third vector of the virus.

What happen to the fourth guy?

The one Ollie was supposed to take out?

If we assume the nanobots neutralized him, why didn't Ollie ask one of his partners to take over his station while he left to battle Ra's?

If the 4th assassin left town still infected, then he could potentially infect some other town if he had a simple shaving accident some morning while on the road.

And as long as we're asking, why the heck did Nyssa go back to Nanda Parbat? Did she think she could just assume power after being reduced to Ollie's concubine?

And what about Malcolm? How come he doesn't have to kill his daughter and destroy Starling City as the cost of HIS ascension?

Well, duh, cause he already did all that 2 years ago-Tommy's dead directly due to him, and he destroyed a chunk of Starling with his earthquake machine.
Perhaps when he was young, Malcolm was a boy scout...always be prepared. ;)

I think it could be an easy tie in to the missing test pilot. Ollie and Felicity find Hal wandering in the wilderness. He doesn't quite understand the limits of his ring (save on special effects). Ollie teaches Hal how to be a hero, even as he (Ollie) is learning his true role as the Green Arrow--helping the impoverished and mistreated in society--while traveling around Southwester to Midwestern U.S. Ollie returns to Starling with a mission to defend the poor of the city and be a beacon of hope after Hal leaves Earth to join the Corps. That's your first half of the season through February sweeps.

Say I have a question:

I was just looking for a picture of Thea in her Speedy costume and the one I found was labeled "Thea Dearden Queen," like Dearden is her middle name.

I was surprised by this, so I went to Mia's Wiki page, and sure enough, Thea is listed the same way under the Speedy section.

Is this true? Was it stated on screen and I totally missed it?

That, I presume, was the messenger who informed Ollie that Ra's was waiting for him on the dam. Perhaps he was just a red herring -- although Ra's couldn't have known which one Oliver would personally intercept, so they probably all knew to give him that message. I don't think that answers the question of what happened to him, though.

Yes, that was established some time ago -- back in "Vertigo" in the first season, according to the Arrow/Flash Wiki. And Thea used the alias Mia when she was living with Malcolm in Corto Maltese at the start of this season. She's always been loosely based on Mia Dearden.

I assumed Ra's himself would be the fourth carrier of the virus to ensure his victory even if Oliver managed to kill him. though apparently I was wrong or they cut anything like that out.

As a season finale, it was a bit disjointed at times, and underwhelming. The thing is, for the entire season, there wasn't any hint of a huge thread to the city. Then, in the last few episode, it was gonna be. Then, the whole thread was over pretty fast. Then....

See what it mean? It didn't feel like it was flowing, more of a 'this happened, then this, then this, the this....'.

Stil liked it, just not loved it.

And as long as we're asking, why the heck did Nyssa go back to Nanda Parbat? Did she think she could just assume power after being reduced to Ollie's concubine?

Noone walks awy from the League, she could either go back, pretend fealty and wait for her chance of revenge or run and be hunted for the rest of her life, which isn't really her style or her goal.

It's a conflict waiting to happen, rather sooner than later, I think.
She is subordinate now to the man that got Sarah killed and she has a claim on the legacy of Ra's al Ghul in her opinion.
And Malcom knows it!
She probably wants to stay close to him to not miss a chance to kill him at the earliest opportunity and he wants to keep her close so he can controll her better for now.

Ooh, I just had a thought: Maybe Nyssa knows how to use the Lazarus Pit to bring Sara back to life, but Ra's forbade it because he disapproved of their love. So now, with daddy dearest out of the way, she may be putting her plan in motion to finally resurrect Sara (whose body has been in cryonic stasis or something while Nyssa waited).

A lot of our questions have been answered already in the the spoiler frenzy that is the Legends of Tomorrow Trailer/Sneakpeak.

Also how many times has Oliver seemingly quit being The Arrow or left town only to be convinced to come back later?
The Arrow, to the people of Starling, upon his return after the duel with Rha's: "I promise I will never leave you again!"

Oliver, the same season finale: "I think I'll just up and leave Starling now. I have a girlfriend for the first time in ages!" :rommie:

Also, some humor from The AV Club:

:p

Arrow started as a show I barely paid attention to... to something that's actually quite thrilling. I was really into this finale, even though Ra'sh was killed far too easily given how invincible he was before that.

I love that they called in the Flash to help out... but it is awfully convenient he couldn't be around to stop the virus being released...

I'm not sure he would have been that much help.

They didn't know where or how it was going to be release and as fast as Barry Allen is, there's only one of him and it still takes time to get from place to place.

IOW no guarentee he could have stopped it or been any more effective than Team Arrow.
