Arrow - Season 3

What? No one else had a comment about the Jar-Jar mask?

That was really odd. At first I thought it was going to be protection from the virus, but nobody else was wearing them and Maseo ripped it off immediately. Rather bizarre.

It's going to be pretty hard to redeem Oliver after all of this. Looking forward to Thea joining the team though.

I called it!

Ollie wasn't brainwashed.

I actually like that the writer's have gone this route because now he is going to have to actually deal with the consequences of his actions. I hope there is no easy resolution and the season ends with Ollie separated from his team.

It would be a good set up for next season to have him forced to operate solo without backup and have to earn the team's trust again.

Which is disturbing, since it means he actually chose to murder that fake-Diggle guy last week as part of his plan.

The issue there is that
apparently both Oliver and Felicity will be in the Flash finale.

The only way that Oliver could have avoided the brainwashing from taking hold, was if Malcolm had given him the counter drugs that would reverse/cancel the effects of the drugs Ra's was giving him.

If you kept someone on Heroin in your basement for a few months, when you finally let them out, they are going to obey whosoever has the rest of the heroin.

Well it should be a race.

Can Crispin Allen (Or Hal Jordan barely on Flash for that matter.) from Gotham get his Spectre on before Jim Corigan get's his shit together?

Constantine didn't do much for me. I gave up after two episodes. The style wasn't my cup o' tea anyway, and the show was pretty bad. But it's interesting to think where the might go with it.

Personally though, I'm more interested in what Johns/Berlanti/Guggenheim/Kreisberg/etc. could do with Gotham. I know there's no chance in hell of that ever happening, but it's such a hard pill to swallow when it's so obvious there's a great show in there and Heller/Cannon are so blatantly fumbling the football.

It got better as it went along. It's one of those shows that started out relatively conventional so as not to scare off the general audience, then started easing its way into the freakier stuff. Heck, it's not the kind of show I thought I'd be into, but it held my interest all the way to the end.

Although they guy they cast to play Jim Corrigan in two episodes was incredibly bad.

Gotham's kind of a lost cause by this point, in the sense that its world is just too weird and campy and ineptly executed to feel like it could share a reality with any of the others.

Although it already has at least one connection with the CW-verse, because Morena Baccarin plays both Leslie Thompkins on Gotham and Gideon the future computer on The Flash.

I loved seeing Barry repay Ollie's favor and his hottub line was priceless. :guffaw: And the plane crash was awesome for a TV show. And we finally know the purpose for the recent flashbacks.

People on this show are way too angsty. "You were going to sacrifice your life to save millions and you didn't tell us? WAHHHHH, how could you be so selfish!?!"

Hey, it's the Swede!

That was...different.... best response I can think of.... Marc Guggenheim coming on to basically say this was not the series finale! I felt about this episode similar to the whole season. Some great individual moments that did not add up to a satisfying whole.

Is that what he said? I missed that part.

I wonder why Nyssa went back to the league, did she think she could take over with Daddy dead and Ollie refusing to take the mantle?

It was a good episode, it just didn't feel like a season finale.

Speedy was probably the best part. It's funny because just moments before she jumped on screen, I was thinking to myself "Where's Thea?"

Is Dig going to get his own costume next year?

Why would anyone think this was the series finale? There was a blip on Facebook last year saying the series had been renewed for three more seasons. (Correction: at least one more season.)

I thought it was pretty good. What a fitting end for Ra's al Ghul. All he wanted was for Ollie to take on the mantle of the Demon's Head, and he sorta did. It didn't surprise me that Merlyn would take over as Ra's. Apparently, that was part of their agreement. But like Ollie said, he could never forgive Merlyn for what happened to Sara and Thea.

I noticed they didn't show where Oliver's flashbacks were going to take place next

I liked it when Thea asked Ollie if she should go by "Red Arrow" and he said he already told everyone to call her "Speedy".

Am I the only one who expected a semi truck to come out of nowhere and plow into Ollie and Felicity in the last second?

ETA

Isn't it time Ollie joined up with the Russians, or is the time on the boat back on the island in season 2 all he needed for Russian Gangster cred?

Painted on the side of the Ship (young) Ollie boarded.

Wallace Shipping. Coast City. Triton's Daughter.

:)

I know exactly what the Flashbacks next year are going to be about Griffindorian.

The Russian Engineer from the Amazo was his Hook up with Russian Mob. He might already have the Tattoo signifying high rank in the Bratva?

I'm not trying to be a ####, but it would be easier for the story if Oliver already spoke Russian. Learned at school as a child? Was there a point in season 2 where Oliver said that he couldn't speak Russian?
