Arrow - Season 3

^You're not dense, it's just gotten kinda lost in the shuffle. ;)

Malcolm didn't want to spend the rest of his days in hiding, fearful that the league would find out he was still alive and kill him. And he also figured he couldn't defeat Ra's himself in combat, so he made Thea kill Sara so he could use Thea's life and future as leverage for blackmailing Ollie into killing Ra's, as he knew Ollie would never help him willingly.

Ra's deciding to make Ollie his heir is something none of them predicted, and it's put the whole League vs. Merlyn thing way back on the ol' Assassins' to-do list.

Didn't he say he absolved all blood debts as a sign of good will?

^ As I recall, he said he gave Merlyn back to Ollie along with his and Diggle's freedom as an act of good will when they left Nanda Parbat, but didn't say anything about absolving debts, so the death sentence against him and Thea still stands, even though Nyssa spared Thea when she learned the truth.

That wasn't the impression I got. I thought that Ras cancelled the debt because, as we find out later, he wants Ollie.

^ IMO, he hasn't cancelled the debt; he's just forgotten about it. If he were the type to make backup plans, I'm sure claiming the debt would be on a secondary to-do list, but I doubt it's seriously occurred to him he won't get Ollie. I'm sure he wasn't expecting Ollie to actually accept prison over leading the League, but if that or something yet to occur finally nullifies his choosing Oliver, I'm sure Merlyn and Thea will be first on the hit list.

Well, I'll just say I recall differently. It was a single sentence that you might have missed or maybe I'm misremembering, but that's what I recall.

^ Oops, according to this site, you're entirely correct - in "The Offer, "Rha's says "You are free to leave. With your compatriots, as a gesture of good will. All debts forgiven, and all blood oaths waived." That's pretty unambiguous; guess we'll see if he sticks to his word.

Yeah, I agree he was lying about other things, but I don't think they wanted Thea to be permanently targeted by the League of Assassins over this so I think that line resolved it.

Yeah, I don't really see that coming back up. We seem to have pretty much moved beyond it at this point.

Okayyyy... That was kinda weird. But I love it that there are enough heroes and villains active in the shows' universe to populate an ad like this.

That promo was crazy and I love it. Now I really want to see Firestorm interact with Heat Wave. Heat wave would probably just surrender in awe

So...Googled the villain's name...Deathbolt? Seems like they're taking some liberties...never would have placed him from the optic blasts.
