Arrow/Flash Superhero Team-Up Spinoff In Works At CW

Notice when Rip Hunter says he is one of the Time Masters there is footage of someone in a Time Sphere. But its not Hunter, its obviously Tom Cavanagh in the Reverse Flash costume. It must be footage from the Flash finale. Maybe that somehow set ups this series.

I glad Rip told us that he was from East London because that is a pretty ropy accent.

Oh and the twist is he's actually Per Deagton and actually the bad guy (my totally random guess).

looks good. and since time travel is a factor, maybe they could take a trip to the 30th century...

Wow, that was a pretty cool trailer. Almost hard to believe a show like this can even be pulled off every week, with all the different superheroes and effects that are involved.

I need to change my shorts.

I was hoping they'd bring back De Gouw for this, but I'll live.

After seeing it, though, I'm convinced that, if this and SG are successful, WB will just say "eff it" and let them do whatever they want with whomever they want.

For a very long time, I've thought that Arthur Darvill would make a fantastic Doctor on Doctor Who someday. Rip Hunter may be the closest we'll ever get to a Darvill Doctor, and already I'm excited. :)
Me too. I haven't watched Flash or Arrow, but I think I'll be giving this a go. :)

The trailer looked great. I think the show is going to be very good, and I love there choice of Darvill as Rip Hunter. The only thing that sucks is how long we have to wait to see it ;)

I hope they address the Lazarus pit.

When it fixed Thea, she was only mostly dead. But Sara is dead dead. I'm afraid it might become a crutch for the Arrowverse.

Since they can time travel they can go and get her body while it's more fresh.

Ok that was pretty morbid.

If Ronnie really won't be there, then my guess is that Dr. Stein may be part of the team in more of a scientific genius support role rather than a hero.

Sure, that's easy enough to predict, but I'm not wondering what they'll do with Stein so much as why they've apparently chosen to separate him out rather than keeping him as part of Firestorm. Did Robbie Amell have another commitment? Did the producers or the network decide he wasn't working in the role? Or did they just feel that Garber was too awesome an actor to relegate to a disembodied voice most of the time?
Or maybe not so much worried about the disembodied part (its much easier to make him a ghost-like character),but rather the cost of Firestorm is a lot of EVERY episode.I suspect Robbie Amell will still guest star still quite a bit

So it has a series order and our heroes will face an immortal threat that could destroy time itself. Lots of fun possibilities with that vague description. Chronos? Vandal Savage? Per Degaton? Can we travel to the future and meet the LSH or L.E.G.I.O.N? Waverider? A trip to the past for the Shining Knight? A show like this has no limits and I hope that concept is fully embraced.

In this preview, it looks like the villain is indeed Vandal Savage.. And"Rory" will be Rip Hunter, sounding like a Dashing Doctor (we will see a ton of Doctor references the way Flash does Superman)

Oh and apparently Sara is somehow resurrected via Lazarus Pit and a lot more cheerful than in Arrow

The date says 2016, so maybe a midseason show or summer show?

This reminds me of the pre-52 Booster Gold series. It gives the show a chance to really show the depth of the DC universe. Medieval, Old West, WWII, and future DC characters could all make guest appearances or be referenced in various episodes.

As for Firestorm, there are a few different possibilities. In new continuity, Firestorm doesn't have to merge, which could be done here. Or one of the other characters, Sara perhaps, could become the new second half to Firestorm if Ronnie dies in the pilot like he did in Identity Crisis. Or something of this nature.

For the actor this is not necessarily bad. If Ronnie gets seperated from Firestorm and stabilised he will probably start to become a regular member of Team Flash and Robbie Amell gets to appear in most episodes going forward (for a time, at least).

Of course, that probably means that Caitlin becomes a villain shortly after.
