Are you staying unspoiled?

I've not followed any spoilers the entire six years. The only foreknowledge I've seen is usually leaked casting announcements. The amount of time I've invested in watching this thing and the amount of fun I've gotten from the show's trademark "holy shit!" moments isn't worth spoiling.

I always avoid LOST spoilers, I don't even watch the promos because they give away EVERYTHING. I don't know anything about the finale. I had no idea people were going to die on last night's episode.

I had remained unspoiled for all of the episodes until this week, when I got anxious with the extra week of rerun and went looking for spoilers. So I knew about some of the big events in the Candidate ahead of time. I will not do that again!

Lost is much more fun unspoiled.

Desperately trying to stay unspoiled.

I normally collect Lost episodes until I have a good run to sit through, and after Happily Ever After I thought "Yeah, just collect the rest and watch them all in one go on a quiet Sunday afternoon sometime".

And then "The Candidate" happened where I couldn't click a link on the interweb without seeing "OMG, The Candidate"...

So, I had a three episode run today, so I'm up to date without fear of being spoiled...

The thing is now, can I make it to the finale "collecting" the episodes again, or over the next few weeks will there be similar "Are you fucking kidding me" moments that will blanket-wash t'internet?

I've never read a spoiler for any show and I never will.... and frankly I will never understand those that do.

It's like eating raw spaghetti noodles because you just can't wait to cook them. So not only have you eaten noodles in an entirely unsatisfying format, but then you're left with a bowl of tomato sauce.

This.

Lost is one of the very few shows for which I actively avoid spoilers. It's the prime reason I've spent so little time in this forum; as much as I've wanted to discuss the show we've usually been so far behind (thanks for nothing, channel 7 ) that even looking in here would have been madness.

Of course, I've run across a few spoilers for Lost elsewhere on the board. People can be kinda thoughtless like that, I suppose.

Yeah, this week was a pretty close call for me too, no thanks to that place that begins with F and rhymes with "Basecook".

My patience was rewarded, though.

I don't know if I will be as lucky for the final push of episodes, though.

I generally have remained unspoiled ... though I did accidentally read something the other day that I wish I hadn't, and which revealed a big secret from the show and now I'm kicking myself. Blargh!

I am unspoiled as to plot points.

I read casting spoilers before the season started (knew Richard, Ilana and Frank were going to be regular characters and Desmond recurring)...and I also allow myself to read episode titles and centric characters. But nothing past that at all. No plot points, however small, are read by me.

After this week's eppy, I am very glad I've been strong and remained unspoiled. I had no frakking clue what-so-ever how that scenario would turn out.:eek::eek:

Yes - though I do how I going to remain spolier free for the week after the finale airs in the USA is going to a major issue - Bloody Sky are not showing it in England untill the following Friday! Guess i'll have to go radio, tv, media, intenet free!

I've been enjoying staying unspoiled the last month or two. It's been great. Although *so* tempting to go into the spoilers thread. Now, I want to wait until after the show is over, and then go back and read the spoilers to see how they worked out.

I always avoid LOST spoilers, I don't even watch the promos because they give away EVERYTHING. I don't know anything about the finale. I had no idea people were going to die on last night's episode.

I watch the promos that air immediately after the episode, but nothing else. The trailer for next week's episode *never* shows anything that you can make any sense out of, so I don't ever feel spoiled by that.

Earlier this season, I was watching the promos you could find online. Which generally showed the first minute or two of the episode. I did start feeling like I was cheating myself out of good TV on Tuesday nights, so stopped.

I feel your pain, but not as badly. Staying up until 11:30 the night of the finale is too much for this worker bee. We'll watch the special from 7-9pm (not live, but we'll start it at 8pm and have it finished by 9:30).

But, I'm going into complete radio silence - no phone, no Internet, no TV starting at 4pm Pacific time (7pm East Coast - when the special starts). And I'll stay in radio silence until Tuesday morning. We won't get to watch the finale itself until 8pm on Monday evening (after my 2 year old goes to bed).

Fortunately, it should be pretty easy. I'm off work on that Monday (Mrs. Alpinemaps has to work). So, I'll take Little Miss Alpinemaps out on Monday. I won't have any interaction with anyone, and won't hear about anything. (At least, I hope so!)

After the complete mess of last nights episode I am now desperately clawing myself away from the spoiler thread. Last night seemed to take steps BACK rather than forward in the overall mythology, and instead of making a few clear bold statements about certain aspects of the island and its history it simply pushed out a few vague notions. It felt like half an episode drawn out drastically over the 40 odd minutes.

I'm now officially dreading the finale as there just appears to me to be too much ground to cover, even in the bumper 108 minute edition episode to satisfy both the current timeline, the alternate timeline AND the historical timeline.

I find myself desperately wanting to know that "everything is in hand" and last nights blip will be folded properly into the story and some of the internal inconsistencies of the characters motivations explained rationally. I won't, 'cos I like to try and go into this show blind, but this week will be HARD WORK!!

No, I'm not. The Sun/Jin and Adam and Eve stuff was spoiled weeks ago and I saw it then. I probably shouldn't have, but oh well.

100% unspoiled! I have NO idea what's going on and NO clue what's gonna happen!

I'm enjoying it. :p
