Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I'm used to the food being three times as expensive as anywhere else but now it seems more like four times!

I used to get popcorn, then I got sick of it, so I started getting just Twizzlers. I love licorice flavor but they only ever sell strawberry. Sometimes I'll get popcorn for old times' sake but only the small.

Normally I can't stand Pepsi but it's refrigerated so well in my theater that it tastes a bit different, has more flavor to it, so I don't get pissed off that they don't have Coke.

So, are you going to buy food at the concession stands when/if you go to see Star Trek?

Nope but I'll sure as hell be sneaking stuff in :D

I mean errrr... I'm boycotting this piece of shit!

:p

Re: RE: Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I never buy anything at the concession stand. I bring my own water (in a Nalgene) and smuggle in a couple of Pringles mini-canisters in my cargo pockets. That's enough for me.

Yes!

A small buttered popcorn, a large Sprite, and a box of nonpareils. :D

It's not a movie without a large popcorn, Coke and a box of Sno-caps!

Re: RE: Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I never buy food at movie theaters.

Re: RE: Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I hardly ever buy food at the movies anymore. I do usually buy a large Aquafina or Dasani bottle, however.

Having said all that, I'm often tempted to buy some nachos, so who knows what I'll do come the big day! I voted 'Whatever'.

Re: RE: Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I'll probably buy a large popcorn.
Drink will be my own water or their cherry slushie.(yum)
Chocolate candy--definitely smuggled in.

Re: RE: Are you going to buy snacks at the concession?

I used to but popcorn. but then I'd finish it in 30 minutes and get stuck with sticky fingers for the rest of the movie. I hate that.

Nope, being diabetic I bring health friendly food to the theater. A smart-ass employee gave me grief about it once, but I explained to the manager and they were cool with it then. As for the employee, he got a long talking to from the manager about customer service. :)

If there are no Raisinettes, I'm demanding my money back!!! :klingon:

...which brings up a point that I've been wondering about. WHO exactly eats Raisinettes? Chocolate covered raisins? Really? Why do they still exist? Why did they ever exist in the first place? :cardie:

Ever since they wouldn't let me bring in my hibachi, I've boycotted buying food at my local theater. Can't grill and watch a movie -- :klingon:  .

(Actually, I like Rasinettes. But they gotta be fresh.)

Probably not. I'll sneak in two footlong subs from Subway and a bottle of water instead.

Of course, on that night, I may want to opt for a large popcorn and some nachos with cheese, if I'm willing to spend $12 for such trashy food.

I can see maybe one, but I don't even want to know how you sneak in TWO footlong subs. :D

I've never heard of 'Rasinettes', but I love eating chocolate-covered raisins. It's got raisins - and I like raisins - and chocolate - and I like chocolate. What's not to like, really? Utter bliss. Only thing better is chocolate covered peanuts, you know.

And no, I will not be buying snacks. Maybe a Diet Coke. But that's not a snack, it's a drink. Don't let anyone else tell me otherwise... and while there's still time, let's start a campaign to see Spock drinking Diet Coke in the movie. It's the logical thing to drink. :vulcan:
