Like An Officer, I only really find myself feeling competitive when it comes to things that don't really matter all that much, like playing cards and video games. But it's even worse when I'm playing with other, even more competitive people! :D

Yeah, I'm pretty much like this too.

Only more so.

I'm VERY competitive. I keep trying to find ways to prove I'm better than others (especially my little brother.) I really ought to get involved in some competitive sport that I might actually be decent at... Looking at field hockey and fencing at the moment.

Ditto. I am VERY competitive with games and things that don't matter in the least. I'm not the least bit competitive when it comes to my yard, my car, my salary, etc. I find that sort of things stupid. I'm comfortable and that's all that really matters. I AM competitive when people try to make me feel stupid or less than them, or I have to listen to some idiot go on and on about how important he/she is (like my in-laws). Then I have this terrible compulsion to bring him/her down a notch, just because I can.

I was a bit competitive with grades in school, but more because of my own standards than others. If I got a B- in a class I hated, I didn't care. But the classes I loved? I made damn sure I got an A. Since I always had such low self-esteem, being known as the smart one was a huge ego boost.

When it comes to games, trivia, stupid stuff like that, yes. Ask anyone who's visted the Arcade at Flukie's Cafe.

But for most things, I really could give a rat's ass. I don't buy things because other people have it or resent friends who have more or achieve more. I just don't care.

I'm not competitive at all. I know very well that I'm a step above 99.99% of other people and I don't need to prove it, not to myself, nor to anyone else.

:p

I'm highly ego-driven and narcissistic, but am already smug, self-satisfied and arrogant enough to not bother to with competing overmuch.
