Are you a Trekkie, a Trekker or neither?

Huge fan since I was a kid, have tonnes of DVDs, and loads of old action figures, books, etc related to Trek. 27 years old now. I don't dress like a Klingon or go to conventions, but I guess I qualify as a Trekkie.

I'm a Star Trek fan but I don't mind being called a Trekkie, either.

I voted "I'm neither, just a fan" not because either term would offend me, but because I'm relatively new to the fandom and don't feel that I have earned either title yet. Maybe that's silly, but I definitely wouldn't call myself a Trekkie around my husband and his friends who have a video of themselves as teenagers on a homemade Enterprise set, acting out the roles. I would be laughed out of the room (though they have no room to talk).

I'm neither - just a fan.

I usually describe myself as a scifi fan, actually - not a Trek fan. Because I like all kinds of scifi shows...some of them alot more than I like most Trek shows.

DS9 is my favorite TV show ever....but then you have to go down several places (past Babylon 5, LOST, nuBSG, Buffy, Farscape, The X-Files and probably a few others) before you get to the next favorite Trek show on the list.

So 'scifi fan' seems to fit me best.
