Are We Having Fun?

I am having a lot of fun thinking about the Vulcan diapsora and how this will shake up their culture. Sure they saved the old folks and their katra memories but.. for some Vulcans this will be their calling to a brave new world. Not since Surak has Vulcan faced such changes to their race.

It so good to be able to bask in the gush of this new film, to actually be excited about star trek again. I remember now how i walked out of the theatre in daze of incredulity at how optimistic i felt after so many years of alienation and darkness. People must have seen it on my face and giving me a wide birth wondering 'he looks too happy to be safely sane' ha ha.

I seem to be an inexhastable geyser of praise at the moment for this film and the sheer star-trek like gutsy decisions of the makers and crew; and the warmth of fellow trekkers about this film and the excitement for the future is veritably intoxicating (thank you!).

Bits of it keep coming back to me and i am awed with a return of the same good feelings. (Today i remembered the child actors again: weren' t they just great? Really professional and engaging.)

Ah.. may i boldly mix metaphors where none have dared before for a long time to come!

^Great post! Not that I was ever embarrassed being a trek fan, but now, for the first time in a decade, I'm proud to be a fan of Star Trek!
