Are there too many white people in Star Trek?

Just one more thought before avoiding this thread like the plague from now on: It's ridiculous to get very, very precise and technical about such a vague subject as race/ethnicity.
 
Earth culture of the 24th century should have a much stronger Asian influence, like in Firefly.

Remember the courtroom scene from Farpoint - it seems clear that the Eastern Coalition was centered around China. (In fact, the DVD commentary for Star Trek: First Contact reveals that all onscreen references to the ECON were actually supposed to BE China.) So it could very well be that the ECON took a major hit during World War III, and that's why we're not seeing as much Chinese influence as we "should" be.
