I'm not happy because there is nothing to indicate he is even still alive in the altered time line. I mean he was only going to make a cameo in the form of a memory of a mind meld or hologram? How does that affect that he may still be alive. The BBK movement is still alive and we want Kirk to have a meaningful death if he is going to be killed off, be killed by making a difference on the bridge of the Enterprise. Or just making a huge difference without being killed off just because of who he is and only he can do it his way.
Question? Would the BBK crowd still demand shatner back as Kirk, AFTER shatner dies?

And to answer to question, no, BBK was NEVER about Kirk, it was about Shatner and how he was the center of the universe who could do no wrong and around which everything else revolves. So no, the BBK fruitcakes are NOT happy.
