How do you rate Arachnids in the UK?

A solid enough episodes with some great creep factor especially for people who hate Spiders though I felt the ending was a little rushed in terms of solving everything and just like in the Ghost Monument, the douchebag in the episode just leaves abruptly???

I'm wondering if some of these folks are set to return in later episodes?

Forgot to mention: This episode should've been called "Arachnids in Sheffield" but I guess they figured most non-Brits haven't heard of Sheffield. Admittedly, I mostly know of it because a dear friend went to university there.

Is this a fact or something you made up?

Because Arachnids in the UK is pretty clearly a pun on Anarchy in the UK, whereas the only anarchy in Sheffield is choosing Pieminister over Greggs.

It's a play on "Anarchy in the UK".
Ah, okay, I didn't know that. I was thinking about how the large spiders only existed in Sheffield, so I guess I took it too literally without getting the reference.

The Doctor tends to only tear down human villains if they can't be torn down by us. Trump - and whathisface from this ep - are on us if we give them power. Those like Harriet Jones or the Brig who CAN be shamed into changing their ways, then the Doctor will have at it. But some have no shame. All you can do with them is not lend them strength or acceptance.

Well I really enjoyed that. Could have done without the way too on the nose Trump commentary and a slightly contrived plot but aside from that it was really good. The giant spiders were exceptionally creepy, loved the team dynamic and kudos to Walsh for a heck of a meditation on grief. I especially loved the Doctor continuing to call Yas's mum "Yas's Mum" even though she kept telling her her name :D

And wanting "Tea at Yas''". The Doctor has always latched onto friends like a drowning fish, but it's at it's most apparent here since Rose. Having almost given up as Twelve, Thirteen is clinging to anything that gives her hope like a lifejacket.

I think next episode he should stay on the Tardis while the rest have an adventure without him just to give them a chance as he's stolen almost every episode so far.
But wasn’t everyone mortified by the mere rumour of his involvement back when we knew nothing? I’m beginning to think we should put more trust in our showrunners to get it right,

Not me. I loved his casting from the get-go because he played one of my favorite characters on Law & Order: UK. But then I didn't even know about his career as a game show host.

Maybe they are just proving they know better, it just feels like Yas hasn't had anything to do so far and the episode where we meet her family was taken from under her by some touching moments with Graham and his dead wife. It's like okay Bradley, we get it, you're good. Now let someone else have a go. If this keeps up the Doctor will end up being his chauffeur who just takes him places he can emote for the camera ;)

I just keep mixing him up with Brian Conley.
