Aquaman - The Fish Guy Movie Thread

I think they should wait for Comic Con at the Aquaman panel to release the first trailer. It is just 5 weeks away.

I have to admit, I'm very intrigued by this one. I think the whole underwater setting really gives it a chance to be something really unique.
Aquaman was one of my favorite parts of Justice League, so if they can bring that over into his movie, that would be a good start.

I am going to say that I am currently feeling cautiously optimistic about this one. It's not going to be an opening night event for me like some movies are, and I'm going to rely largely on word-of-mouth, probably largely from this place, before I make my decision to see it in the theater or wait for home video.

That's pretty much how I feel right now. DC's track record is terrible from my perspective and they'll have to work awfully hard to convince me this will be a good film. Hell, I still haven't bothered getting around to watching Justice League (and I refuse to watch Suicide Squad).

With James Wan at the helm, this has a great chance of being the next Wonder Woman.

This is actually how I expected to feel about this movie going in, but now that I've seen JL I didn't actually like Momoa nearly as much as I thought I would, nor did the underwater scenes have even the slightest feel of being truly different in any interesting way. The trailers for this have a major uphill battle in convincing me otherwise at this point.

Jason Momoa would rock a skirt and you know it.

No "would" about it:

I think the movie will be cool. Momoa was already better than Adrian Chase's version. I still can't believe James Cameron botched that movie up. With his ovious love of the ocean and all.

This looks more interesting than JL ever did.

So yeah, WB rushing out Justice League was a huge mistake.

Should have done Aquaman, Flash, Shazam, and Man of Steel 2 before JL.

This movie actually looks colorful.

WB finally got the memo.

Well they got the memo with Whedon's version of "Justice League." It was just to late. Snyder's mark had already been made on the movie but Whedon did make the movie more passable than it would have been.
