We are already a third the way through April, so it’s time to get this month’s Art Challenge underway! Apparently, this is the 212th Fan Art Forum Challenge, which is quite the thing in and of itself. As the winner of the 211th Challenge, it is my privilege to host and thus I have chosen to glom off Starscape’s splendid prose from March to re-announce the subject, chosen by a vote of the board’s members:
80s Animated Mash!
A mash-up of a classic (or obscure) 1980s animation with the 80s Star Trek crew/show/movie of your choice - eg 2280s TOS Movies or 2380s Lower Decks and Prodigy. (And there's always the Short Trek "Children of Mars", snippets from DS9: "The Visitor" and PIC, amongst other bits & bobs.)
The Rules
The winner gets to sport the shiny “Art Challenge Winner” banner below their name for the following month, and has the honor of hosting May’s challenge. And be sure to help decide what the theme for next month's contest will be in the “Vote For Your Theme” thread which we’ll be posting later.
You have until midnight on the the first day of May to post your final entries here.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or need more time, let me know.
I will be looking forward to seeing your art. Have much fun in your animated doodlings!
