Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Aldo, you tool! You're still a tool.

The national budget is in the toilet. Japan got hit by another 7.1 earthquake, generating another tsunami warning last Saturday. Towns in Alabama are still recovering from extensive tornado damage. A former US Marine who lost his legs in combat was on a roller coaster in New York and was thrown from his seat only to plummet to his death in mid-transit. Jaycee Dugard was held in captivity for 18 years, the first three of which she didn't have a sink or a toilet.

Who the fuck cares if you don't matter to Warner Bros?

You want to bitch about something? Bitch about something that matters.

Or, man up, save up and drop the cash to get a Blu-Ray player.

What the fuck? :wtf:

Says the guy that wastes time on a Star Trek message board, and yes, also by bitching about stuff.

Being that this (and admittedly, two or three other posts yesterday, and another in May expressing my condolences over Red Ranger's passing) is my first post in months, I'm not sure you have a whole lot of ground to stand on here, if that's the logic of your only reply.

Enough grounds, given that you already have 33,000 posts with an average of 9 posts per day. That's 10 years you wasted here, even though there are a lot more important things you could have been doing. The national budget is in the toilet, as you said yourself! Stop coming here wasting precious time and start helping to rebuild your nation's wealth instead!

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Ok, say what you will about the film Sucker Punch, but I really loved it. I also knew that Snyder had to cut the film down by at least 20 minutes to get a PG-13 cut. So you'd think me being a huge fan of the movie I'd snap the Extended Cut DVD up the second it hit the market.

Except that I don't have a BlueRay player, and apparently Warner Bros. is only catering them now. See if I want to buy the film on DVD I can only buy the theatrical release because they are only putting the extended cut on Blueray.

This confounds me to no end. Why cut out a huge consumer base? Do they think I'm going to blindly buy the movie on DVD no matter what cut of the film it is? (I'm not, actually). This really upsets me because I love the film and I'd love to see it many more times, but I want to see the version Snyder originally put forth and apparently Warners doesn't think I matter enough to give me the option to buy that version.

Several things.

1. You can't expect WB to kowtow your current entertainment choices.

2 I think you're over estimating how many people care enough about this movie to spend any more money on it. It netted 7 mil in profit, which I'm sure doesn't matter considering the massive marketing campaign that was attached to it.

3. WB doesn't think it's worth any added money to print God knows how many DVDs. For the love of Christ don't take it personally. Had the movie had done better than abysmal at the box office then you'd probably have all you wanted and more.

4. We're about at the end of the DVD's life. Soon Bluray is going to become standard and if you want to keep buying movies then you're going to have to buy something to new to watch them on. It's been that way for a while now.

Or get a netflix/love film subscription and upgrade your graphics card to get as close to blu-ray quality as you can. Then you don't have to worry about buying blu-ray discs. :)

Let's think logically here...

Let's say he spends an average on 5 minutes per post. That's 40 minutes per day.

4 hours 40 minutes a week.

42 hours 40 minutes a month.

10 days, 3 hours, and 20 minutes a year, or about 100 days per decade.

In short...2.7% of the time.

Now back to your regularly schedule smackdowns.

10 days a year, dude! Many people would be happy to have 10 days of vacation per year. Or 10 days of being employed. And he just wastes that time here.

And then he becomes a drama queen when someone wastes 5 minutes to post criticism against blu rays. ;)

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

I don't actually buy movies anymore, I do all my movie watching via Netflix. But this would have been one of the exceptions, had they released the extended cut on DVD.

Wait, so you barely have enough to feed yourself but you can afford to pay for Netflix? That $8 a month can buy a few more meals, you know.

Everybody's right, I just felt like venting. I am annoyed that a movie I really like and want to see again is not available on DVD in it's extended cut.

However I do want to comment on the quoted post. I don't actually pay for the Netflix in my apartment, it's technically my roommates, but he put it on my 360 as well so I could use it (which I thought was rather nice of him).

Let's look at this from another angle though. Even if you have a Blueray player, the only way to get the extended cut is to buy the Blueray/DVD combo pack, so even then WB is asking BlueRay owners to purchase a DVD they probably aren't going to use just to see the movie the way they want to see it.

No loser I want to know.........wait...

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Just got off the phone with those Warner boys. Your thread has swayed them. A DVD goes to press tomorrow.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Is it wrong I read that with Daffy Duck's voice in my head?

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Yeah! What kind of loser posts on a Star Trek message board, anyway?!?

Well, JarodRussell's daily average is 7.36 posts - not far enough below Doubleohfive's average to give him much room to mock.

The only one in the thread worth mockin' is Aldo, and not 'cause of the frequency of their posts, but the content of the original post.

We're all here, right? No point sayin' you're a big loser than me because ya post one more time a day than I do...

They do that for the people who refuse to buy Blu-Ray players, but they hope to one day get them to. That way they can start a Blu-Ray collection.

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

Fair enough on the points about DVD.

But what of people who own a BluRay player? If they want the extended cut they have to buy a combo pack that includes a DVD they might not want...what of them?

Re: Apparently Warner Bros. doesnt think I matter and it pisses me off

^

They can wait & get a previously viewed copy from the local video store, which would just be the blu ray.

We get a waste of plastic because some people refuse to upgrade. I sometimes give mine to my brother.
