Anyone watch "Holmes on Homes"?

Mike Holmes, the Canadian contractor people wish they could hire. He goes in and fixes the messes made by shoddy contractors--and from what I've read, the people helped pay very little. Makes sense, since they mostly haven't gotten their money back from the a$$hole who cheated them.

But that aside ... is that guy hot or what?

I can't comment on his hotness, but I have a great respect for him and the work he does.

On his new show, Holmes Inspection, he's taken more of a back seat to Damon and the rest of the crew. He only appears to do an initial inspection and for the reveal at the end.

I have been watching Holmes on Homes for years. I have followed him all around, he was on Discovery for awhile. Then on some cable channel and finally now on HGTV. I too have the up most respect for him. Because of him were going to use foam insulation in the celling above our garage, its below our two sons room and they are colder then the rest of the house during the summer. Were also going to waterproof our basement using the method shown on several shows. Were they put the tar, then the membrane and create the french drain.

His show in particular is great for picking up tips on fixing things around the house. We've watched a few regarding basements, to get ideas for our own and preventing/fixing problems.

I love watching that show, although, now I'm terribly afraid to hire a contractor.

I was particularly impressed by the episode where they had to bring in a crane and take the entire roof and attic off of a house. YIKES. I can't imagine what the budget for this show must be.
