Anyone got any Star Trek tattoos?

A German Enterprise fan who I have met at several Fedcon conventions has the NX-01 badge tattooed on one arm.
There is also the Australian lady, who has characters tattooed on her back!

Bah! Its all in your head.
I'm allergic to pain (it makes my eyes water). Doctor thinks it might be caused by my back problem (yellow streak about 12" wide) or possibly my stomach problem (no guts).

And now I have it...

Unless you're related to Linda Blair, how do you know what they REALLY put on your back? Do you trust "them" or your photoshopping friend with a digital camera and an evil sense of humor? *grin*

RoJoHen, that is really nice!

I got my new tattoo on Friday, but alas, no Trek element. I couldn't figure out a graceful way to fit it in. I got a hibiscus, with swirls stretching out quite far to either side, on the lower back.

My husband got home from Canada today. He was suitably surprised. Lucky for him -- I would have divorced him if he'd guessed it!

This tattoo took an hour and a half. It's a LOT more uncomfortable (still, three days later) than my first "baby" tattoo was....

Well, you know -- after that NCAA settlement (:brickwall:), I'd have to change it in three years anyway!

You know, I could understand the controversy, except for the fact that the school asked for, and received, permission from the tribe before they ever started using that nickname/logo. Changing it now will cost them dearly, both financially and otherwise.

RoJoHen, I hear you on the healing. This itches like anything now!

it's kind of insulting that wasn't taken into account by the NCAA, that the Sioux weren't able to make that decision on their own. I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same, eh? The Great White Father still decides what's best for his little red children

I can't imagine the cost to re-do the arena, and what will that mean for Englestad's monetary support?

Tattos not allowed in Islam. If it was I would have the Klingon Emblem on my right arm.

I would be such a pimp.

Is there some standard for what is allowed or not in islam? I talked to a pakistani muslim who said music and watching entertainment on tv wasn't allowed in islam either

I have a few tattoos, but never thought of a Trek one. You guys are killing me. I have seen the chest TOS one in photos, but I am too hairy chested for that, and not really into the WWF look.
Nice design and, placement, RoJoHen ! Nice black work, very sharp.
It doesn't help that one of my best buds is a talented tattoo artist himself...damn you TrekBBS....

i have a star trek inspired tattoo, got it 7 years ago in winnipeg, manitoba, canada.
it's 6 symbols; klingon, klingon/cardassian aliance from the alternate universe, obsidian order, dominion and the borg. they are evenly spaced in a band around my left bi-cep and the background is the cygnus loop nebula.
it took 21 hrs over 4 sessions and is my pride and joy.....
until the next one

There's much more color definition now, and you can't see the blue sunburst around it in this picture, but here's what my artist came up with. He and another at the shop had a tough time deciding on who would do it. The other guy is such a huge geek that he has Nintendo tattoos and an awesome Yoda on his chest. But the guy who came up with this one likes the neoclassic stuff, and has a soft spot for what he calls "freak" tattoos. :) So how it worked out was that the resident neoclassic guy did it, but the fellow-geek watched excitedly whenever he got the chance. I think I'll let him have a go at a BSG tat on the other arm. Sci-Fi ying and yang.... depending on how I like the last season of course.

My camera sucks - the tattoo looks great but my skin looks even whiter than it is. That's why I'm posting this pre-healed shot that he took. I'll post something better when I go back for the portfolio pic. :)

And no, no part of the outline is jagged or crooked in any way. There are some parts that look like that in the photo because... well, aggravated skin I guess.

It didn't loose me any sex, but I'm married and my husband groks it. - it's on my upper left arm and is medium in size, a little larger than a pack of cigs.

It's a little bit old, and a little bit new. :bolian:

I've got a tattoo that says "photon torpedo" on my <CENSORED>

Reminds me of Down Periscope, where the lead had a tattoo of "Welcome Aboard" on his ...

And that reminds me of a joke:

Two nurses were discussing a new male patient. One said "Did you see that he's got 'SWAN' tattooed on his thing?" The other one said, "I've got to see this." She came back later, a little rumpled, and said "It doesn't say 'SWAN', it says 'SASKATCHEWAN'."
