thats what you call a better game? no way you gave no hope against golden boy and his bombers. even with hayes youll be blown away

how about them suns??

I've found the AFL on the Canadian TV schedule! :D TSN2 were showing the Sunday game last night (given the time-zone difference, it was probably live - Saturday night for us I think is Sunday afternoon for Australia)

I only saw into the second quarter though - it was the Sydney/Essendon game. When I left it Essendon were still in the lead and were playing better but it was beginning to get close.

Can someone tell me what the final score was?

Sydney won? Wow - it was getting close, but I was sure Essendon were going to carry it. This won't have helped all the talk about them not being able to handle themselves in away games.

It was a great game for the first part I saw - nice welcome back to watching the footy :)

It has helped put a damper on all their 'Golden Boy Messiah Hird' nonsense that's for sure. I was rather hoping they'd win so as we could give them a dose of reality in round five.

Great effort from the Swans. Certainly lacking skill and polish, but sometimes good old fashioned grunt and determination gets the job done.

Big games coming up this week. Collingwood v Carlton tomorrow night at the MCG. I'll be there of course and with luck we will put the bluebaggers in their place. The death chant will be so loud it will shake the foundations of the world.

Who else? The bullies will destroy the new Gold Coast Sooks and with a little luck Essendon will keep the Saints losing streak alive a little longer. Donnu about the rest, they're non entities anyway

Carn the pies!

Massive, massive game for the Saints. A loss this week, and top four is out of reach. Harsh, seeing we've had a draw and a one point loss, but that's how it is.

Lenny Hayes out for the season, Baker out injured and we're playing a team we never seem to beat at the best of times.

Amazingly it's the third time we've played Essendon this season.

Riewoldt's 200th. I think we'll step up.

The pundits seem to have written the season off as a pointless race for second. I have seen precisely two and a half games so far this season, but surely its a bit early to be handing it over to Collingwood just yet! These things aren't won in April.

good point. no sense being champions in april if we cant back it up in september.

i cant see you winning, the bummers seem to have the wood over your
game plan

Richmond absolutely insipid, as usual. It makes me weep to think we couldn't put them away.

Collingwood a long way ahead of the pack at this stage from what I've seen. Confidence, hunger, skill. I wonder if they could go through undefeated? We almost did it two seasons ago. Hate it say it, but the pundits writing this season off could well be on the money. Nobody I've seen will knock them off in this form.

Don't believe for a second that we will get through undefeated. They are human not robots and they will have a bad hair day occasionally.
