Anyone else on the BBS for years yet have a low rank?

Just mentioned this in another thread, but I've been on the board eight years, average about three quarters of a post per day.

And I'm happy to be that way!

I've been here since 2005 and I'm averaging slightly under half a post a day. I'll post when I have something to say, but generally I'm happy to just lurk.

Relatively speaking, that is.

I've been hear for 8 yrs but only a commodore. I guess I usually don't post that much. Though I do read a lot of the threads, I usually don't have much to contribute (even sometimes when I do post :shifty:).

So, rollcall for all of us relatively-low-ranking relatively-long-timers.

I've been here for eight years too, and only a... nevermind! I guess I'm a Rear Admiral now!

Been here for since May 21, 2009.

I'm looking forward to post more comments around here in many years to comes. This is really good forum for me to go. Most forums that I went to, they're very mean-spirited! Those people who think that I'm a bot.

They locked my threads for no reason.

While this username has only been active for a few months, I already have more posts than my previous account had, which had been around for probably 4-5 years. And yet, I still don't have a ton of posts. I imagine I'll accumulate posts at a slow yet steady rate. I try to only post when I have something to say (or ask).

Member since Sept. 2001. Lost a bunch of posts in the Great Crash a few years back, but not enough to make a difference between my current "rank" and the next one up. Most of the folks I used to pal around with in the lounge don't post much anymore, so I don't have much of an incentive to post anymore. I just don't feel like wading into arguments about the Abrams Trek vs. the original, or Trek Remastered vs. the original. I still lurk, mainly to check out the stuff in the Trek Art forum and to chuckle at new MadBaggins threads, although he's not one of skinofevil's better characters. Mainly, I don't have the time and energy that it takes to be a frequent poster around here.

I'll hit 7 years in November. But I'd say of my 24,000+ posts, less than half count towards promotion. All the rest came from warnings and infractions so I should probably still be a Captain :p

Signed on in September of 2003. Just shy of 6 years and I'm still a Commodore. Guess I'm more of a lurker than anything else since I visit here a couple times a day. Not much to say, I guess..

Q2

Interesting how so many of us prefer to read/lurk, at least until we have something we're willing to post.

I joined about eight years ago - considering this, Rear Admiral might be regarded as a rather low rank. I've been posting quite frequently at times, but I've also taken some breaks.

I think it's time for another brand new Trek show, so I can post on some Trek related stuff again... :borg: ;)

116 posts in nearly 5 years.

I like to think all but this one actually had something of value though.

Yeah, I figure after 8 years, I probably ought to be more than an RA. 'S what I get for being less "chatty" I guess. ;)

You'd all be Fleet Admirals by now if you hadn't avoided that fight with the Nausicans. Hope your happy with those real hearts beating in your chests. And get that damn pad to LaForge!
