Anyone else love the catsuits?

Anyone else love the catsuits?

No, they should wear either a uniform or equivalently appropriate attire. If anyone- even a civilian support person- showed up to work in a military environment like that they would be sent home and a negative evaluation placed in their permanent record.

The civilian equivalent situation: if someone showed up to your office to work in a bikini, how well do you think it would reflect upon them?

I'd LOVE THAT.

Office enviroments are so COLD and robotic....pants suits, neck ties and pantyhose are symbols of the cast iron fem nazi. :p

And if anyone read any of my posts of the past 5 and 1/2 years, you don't NEED to ask my opinon.

This does NOT bother me at all. :bolian:

What I really don't understand is women in Voyager climbing ladders and crawling through Jeffery's tubes in heels.
Good for staying on the ladder rungs. :bolian:

I find flat shoes extremely uncomfortable, they make me feel like I am going to fall backwards any moment. Even sneakers have to have soles of at least a couple of centimeters. Generally I prefer wearing shoes with heels from 4 cm to 7-9 cm. Heels higher than 10 cm are too tiring and painful.

My cute friend in UK is like that. Though she can run in 4 inchers with no problem, she says.

Now in my own fictions, my main character wears tight clothes, heels, and so on. She gets alot done, and I've had no real complaint about her designs and attire...from both male and female.
Here's some CGI images I made of her.

This is how she pretty much dresses most of the time, and it's pretty revealing and tight fitting. I wonder how many gonna be upset at this, now. :D

Back to the topic, catsuits, heels and corsets.....I'm all for it. You want girls in frumpy outfits, there's always Star Wars. :rommie: And even that had some exceptions in some parts.

I'll tell you who shouldn't wear high-heels: Tricia Helfer. When you're 5'10", you don't need the help.

Women wear heels for more reasons than to give them height, though. I like Tricia Helfer, at least 6, in heels. I like the way she towers over Baltar. It's an interesting power dynamic that she is so much taller than him, I feel.

Let's see. Top ten reasons for wearing heels...
10. Male designers tell them to.
9. Added height makes them look slimmer.
8. To pull them off and use as weapons.
7. Because they saw them in the window.
6. Someone had a sale.
5. To stumble.
4. To break them.
3. To develop back problems.
2. So they can complain about their aching feet
1. Because other women wear them.

The Castellan and GalaxyClass1701, I've changed two images to links. In the future, either host them yourself or leave them as links.

SF Rabid: there's one more reason women wear heels: standing on tiptoe flattens your stomach. This is why in fashion magazines if a woman isn't wearing heels she'll often have her toes arched down.

Me? I'm just a little... plump... for that.

You forgot all the ones about how they make you feel.

Maybe it's because they're so retro-cool, but I'd wear Uhura's red miniskirt instead of a catsuit anytime. The reasons I'll keep to myself. ;)

Despite being a ferociously red-blooded male, I never found the catsuits remotely attractive - in fact, I never found them anything but really, really silly-looking. Ultimately I couldn't see them as anything but a rather sad and desperate attempt to boost ratings, although even if they weren't they didn't do anything for me.

The mini-skirts of TOS, on the other hand...

When asked her feelings on the matter, this Caitian officer merely commented...

"You can't imagine how badly this thing is matting my fur!"

Sincerely,

Bill

This post gets a....:techman:

Not really a fan of the catsuits, because they're too generic (they could be in any franchise), and mean non-Starfleet besides. If I were a starship crewman, I'd want a babe to have a standard regulation uniform on, because that'd probably mean she worked on the same ship, and could thus be around for a nice, long time. :techman:

Meh.

Rowr.

Deanna Troi was wearing a catsuit even when she was wearing her uniform though, it just fitted her a lot better and was more flattering than the purple monstrosity.

Haha, I was about to make a thread but then I searched and found this one.
Yes! Catsuits were absolutely awesome and as the OP rightly said, T'Pol, Kes and Jadzia looked best in their one pieces.
Wow, you really have chutzpah, don't you? :wtf:

Well, there you go. Catsuit = good. Uniform = better.

Catsuit uniform? NOW you're talkin'! :techman:
