Anyone broadcasting old Doctor Who episodes?

I grew up watching Tom Baker as The Doctor. Are those episodes broadcast anymore? What about earlier Doctor's?

Recently, I've been watchin re-runs with Eccleston and Tennant. So far I prefer Eccleston. I guess I prefer The Doctor portrayed by middled aged actors. But, Tennant is growing on me.

While I'm a huge fan of youngin' Matt Smith (he's only 22 days older than me), I admit there's something to be said about the gravitas that an older actor can often bring to the role. I think there was a lot more emotional sophistication in Christopher Eccleston's performance than there was in David Tennant's. But then, I think my Doctor preferences often skew much older than most. (For the 12th Doctor, I'm hoping for either John Hurt or Bill Nighy.)

As to your question, in the U.S., BBC America will often rerun a lot of the Tennant & Smith episodes. However, I don't think any of the classic Doctors are currently being rerun in the U.S. PBS used to do that for a long time back in the 1980s, but not lately. (Arizona's PBS stations don't show any fun British shows anymore. They used to have Coupling, Red Dwarf, & Robot Wars. Now, all they have is the old people sitcoms like As Time Goes By, Keeping up Appearances, Last of the Summer Wine, & Waiting for God; plus a bunch of ITV crime dramas on Masterpiece Mystery.) Meanwhile, BBC America seems to have no interest in educating their viewers with classic Doctor Who. Instead, it's endless episodes of Ramsay's Kitchen, Top Gear, and... Star Trek: The Next Generation?:wtf:

BBC America did show Tom Baker Doctor Who episodes on Saturday mornings in its early days but that only lasted a few weeks unfortunately.

Youtube is our friend....

Apparently, BBC America will be airing the 3rd Doctor story "Ambassadors of Death" on 8/24. Doesn't say which episodes, though.

Finally saw where Rose Tyler departs the series. I was sad to see her go. I'm guessing somewhere down the line she tries to cross back over and gets stuck between worlds. This would explain why she was like a ghost in the episode where the Daleks steal Earth and other planets. I wonder why the actors don't seem to stay more than 1 or 2 seasons?

She returns at the end of Tennent's run(before his regeneration), and the ending is...interesting....

Yeah...Netflix. (which I finally joined last month) A TREASURE TROVE of classic Who ready to watch online. Watched The Three Doctors on a whim the other evening. What luxury our modern times afford us. :)

The only problem with the WHO streams is that they're kind of extremely low-res compared to the DVDs, which have been restored. I think that Netflix mainly used the PBS/VHS masters of the stories....
