Any Plans for a "Reboot" or New Series?

^ That would be awesome! Honestly, I don't see any sort of Trek returning until after JJ and company are finished their films. I'm sure Paramount will continue taking pitches but unless something really blows them away and is economically feasible I believe they will just allow the films to run their course. I'm quite fine with that.

I got it! The Borg have sent some drones into the 21st century to assimilate humanity...because of what they learned from Seven Of Nine...these drones will "fit in" to human society more or less...with no visible implants and slightly pale skin...some how the Federation learns of this plan and a group of young Federation officers lead by a couple of more seasoned officers are sent back to stop them. In the year 2011/12 in a small Midwestern town Borg infiltrated a community and a few younger drones go to high school...the Federation officers do the same...one of the young officers fall for a drone and a drone has captured the heart of a 21st century human and a young officer also is in love with that person...so there will be plenty of angst.

[edit] The Brog will operate out of some creepy Victorian house while the Federation has a ship hidden in orbit on the darkside of the moon.

Hopefully the Trek fatigue that gripped the country as Voyager wound down is nearing it's end.

Abrams is, I guess, doing a good job of introducing the 'next generation' of viewers to the franchise.

But movies are so hard. I want a TV show; I want a couple dozen hours a year. Trek is best on the small screen where it can take chances and work on deeper character development.

Surely there will be another series...someday

Ok...for real...I think something could be done and tell profound stories...but there is the deal of what network...and this will determine what type of show will be had...I don't think it is an easy thing...JJTrek is one thing...but will a show follow it or follow TOS, TNG, DS9 & VOY?
