Any old timers still around?

Another good lounge moderator was Huntingdon. A great bloke and good friend. I liked when he was the mod there, or one of them.

I miss him. He was really fun to chat with, and always seemed to brighten the mood here. I hope he's doing well in his endeavors.

I met with him IRL last year :) His job keeps him quite busy but he's well.
I had no idea Hunt was a Lounge Mod! Had I known that I'd have sneaked back to here earlier!
I'll try to drag him into this thread, too. After all, it worked with Praetor :D (welcome back, btw!)

After Enterpriser was banned I think that Huntingdon was the board's most prolific poster for a good while. I recall him having more posts than anyone else in the BBS for a stretch of time during the early-to-mid part of the last decade. Good guy.
Hunt was noteworthy for posting enthusiastically long before Enty made his exit.

This is true. He definitely influenced the mood in the lounges. Remember when he was the only lounge mod?

I do ... year after year won the award for best lounge moderator, or retired moderator in the AL. I liked his lounge contests, as they were always a lot of fun. Something that the board is missing at the moment.

Definely missed. Known Hunt (or Harlequin) for over 10 years now. Still see updates on FB now and then. I had some fun times with him, Evil Robert, callisto and many others in the lounges backk in 2002.

The sad thing is I can't remember when it was. I know it was pre 2006.

Hunt was quite active back in the day. Those were fun times.

Hunt's used that iconic starfish avatar for about ten years or longer, hasn't he? He's sort of become synonymous with starfish in my eyes. I've been watching nature programs when starfish pop on the screen and one of the first thoughts I get is: "Heh....I wonder what Huntingdon's up to lately."

There aren't that many posters you can associate with just one avatar over such an extensive period of time but he's one of them.

I'm not sure, but I think about him sometimes. And I miss his presence on the board. The lounges were a lot of fun back then.

Does he still drink regularly? ;) Please tell him he's missed, and it's good to know that he's doing okay these days. :)

I met the guy when I was in London, along with my co-mod at the time, Stolen Thunder. Both are really cool people (along with everyone else I met, I just wanted to single out the mods).

Every once in a while, I think "I could use a good Jayson thread about now."

I haven't learned anything new about monkeys in quite a while.

As for being an "Old Timer", why I remember when General Trek Discussion was just a Lieutenant...

^ Reza is a name I haven't heard of it in a long while.

Oh god Reza, that is also a name I remember.

But besides the burgeoning number of Internet subscriptions of the time there was a mad rush of interest in the Trek franchise thanks to Voyager airing its final episodes and the finale where the ship and crew finally make it back home as well as the launch of what was still called "Series V."
Rememeber when the slogan to that forum was 'Join Jackson Archer and T'Pau on their new adventures!' or something to that effect based on the leaked casting call sheet?
