yes, there was far too much red tape. I was very strongly opposed to all these board rules. I would have preferred something that's short and easy to remember, kinda like 10 board commandmends instead of 8 screen pages of dos and don'ts, but I was outnumbered. The senate idea was pretty sound imo but such things work only with a small group. EFCL worked well first because it was a group of friends who fitted together. But then friend's friends joined, and their friends, which didn't fit in with everyone. It was rather inevitable that the board fell into fractions.
