Yeah, It might be awkward enough if he was hitting a female superheroine in a costume.. that's still violence against a woman, but that kind of thing isn't unusual considering female heroes re ready to fight, even against opponents awho are clearly stronger than they are. But this panel shows a woman who not only isn't in costume, but she's in lingerie. She looks like she has no superpowers and is not strong enough to defend herself, a single slap knocks her off her feet. And this is his wife? Yeah.. it does get one to worry.For anyone who's never actually seen it, here is the infamous slap panel.
