Yeah, It might be awkward enough if he was hitting a female superheroine in a costume.. that's still violence against a woman, but that kind of thing isn't unusual considering female heroes re ready to fight, even against opponents awho are clearly stronger than they are. But this panel shows a woman who not only isn't in costume, but she's in lingerie. She looks like she has no superpowers and is not strong enough to defend herself, a single slap knocks her off her feet. And this is his wife? Yeah.. it does get one to worry.

Now that franchise is sinking before our eyes.Hank being a wife beater in the comics was stupid, and I bet some Marvel comic people nowadays regret that they have to keep that baggage with the character. The movie version doesn't need that kind of stuff.
