Either way, while nice and serviceable, that's not really the same thing. The stuff Anovos is dealing with isn't just a STAR TREK shirt. It's something that hasn't ever been offered before...100% screen accurate REPLICA tunics and dresses made using patterns taken directly from screen used 40 year old tunics and dresses.

Okey doke, thanks for going into detail. Everything you described justifies the higher price (and they are gorgeous). Thanks for being cool about it, too.

Anyone know if Anovos would be able to fill a TOS man's tunic order before July (convention!) if pre-ordered in March?

ALERT!!!! ANOVOS LAUNCHES TOS TUNICS WITH THIRD SEASON KIRK TUNIC!!!

"The first release of the The Original Series line. Its with the greatest pleasure we have decided to bring out the heaviest of the heavy hitters as our first limited time offering : The Uniform of Captain James T. Kirk.
I will keep the details to a minimum but this fabric will use the same weight, composition and weave of the original fabrics used in the later seasons of Star Trek TOS. The color was painstakingly matched using an in-hand screen used sample piece with pattern pulled by a professional pattern making team, using a screen used hero with special thanks to the Greg Jein collection. Features will include diamond weave neck material, captain’s rank braid orientation and patch.
Please note patch and braid in picture are prototypes with special thanks to Farragut Films for their ongoing support and partnership. The Anovos rank braid and ship patch (seen in previous posts) will be used for final product."

The rank braids look great. It may seem odd that is something which pops out at me, but it's surprising how many replicas fall short there.

Capt...I know exactly what you mean. I've been hitting the gym every morning at 7am for about 4 months now. I hate/love it. Not only am I trying to get into better shape for myself (and uniforms that I want), but the Airforce just raised our fitness standards again. They're killing me. To illustrate: I just started nights again (1430hrs-0001hrs) and even though I end up with less than even six hours sleep I'm sticking with my day shift gym class because it's actually working for me. One of these days I need someone to explain why someone on aircraft maintenance needs to meet the same pt requirements as a command & controller on the battlefield.
