Another step into the TARDIS

Well, I finally did it.

Finished series 4 last night.

I decided to run through the end of the show so far, and talk impressions about it, as opposed to reviewing each episode. Trust me... it's much kinder for you this way.

I'm still not sure of everything just yet, how I feel about Tennant no longer being there, which is my favorite Companion, etc...... but man was it a fan-TAS-tic ride! For the moment, let me say this: RTD ..... you're a right bastard for taking Rose away from the Doctor like that ... again.... then taking Donna away from him, too!!!! :scream:

^ What I really want to know is....how awesome do you think Wilf is? Very? Totally? Massively?

:D

Actually, I completely loved the character! Not only does he love skywatching as I do, he had his head on straight, sticking up for Donna as a grandfather should. :techman:

Good thing he had that paintball gun.

^Yes. Although I didn't like how the Dalek was able to just melt the paint off. I think the Daleks are much more interesting if they are these super-advanced, incredibly dangerous aliens that also have some very low-tech vulnerabilities.

Don't be discouraged. Married is just another word for challenge.;)

:guffaw:I need to put that on a plaque somewhere!:guffaw:

And I do fancy Catherine Tate. Freema Ageyman is the better looker but I still prefer Tate. For me, incomparable acting talent is the ultimate turn on.

Catherine Tate... I may have to do some more research on her, because she was charmingly over the top.

Yes you should. While she's pretty much an unknown quantity in the United States (outside of Doctor Who of course), she was already very well known in the U.K. for her work on her sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show. I highly recommend it. Tate may be the most chameleonic comedian in history. The entire series has been released on DVD in Region 2. That's not yet true in Region 1 but they're getting there. They have released Seasons 1 & 2 and the 1st Christmas special on DVD in R1. You can also find some of her sketches scattered on Youtube. For a first taste, I give you a sketch of her as obnoxious teenager Lauren Cooper having a confrontation with her new high school English teacher, played by David Tennant! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1...C83CD644&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=33

One other thing that might interest you, the CGI software used for the Adipose in the first was same one used for the big fight scenes inthe LOTR movies. Massive is it's called.

And as long as the characters are still alive there's still a chance. :techman:

^Personally, I was pissed off at how they not only got rid of Donna but also seemed to do everything possible to keep her from ever returning, short of killing her. Shame that, of all the companions, the only one that can return easily is Martha.
