Another small, old ship...

MadMan, Jude, great work both of you. I'd love to have this kind of talent so I can get some of these images out of my head to share. Best I can do is fly by's and beauty shots in Light Wave. (And even that is far from the quality I've seen in others here.)

Anyway, keep it up.

Thanks! Well, if you could see the looks my wife gives me when I sit here for hours and noodle around on these things...:wtf::confused::shifty:

I think I've pretty much wrapped this up. Still a few loose ends and sloppy things, overall this was what I was imagining.
I put retractable covers over the cut-in windows, added some rim-windows, few other things. Oh yeah, the markings - I decided to try something different.:)

This looks fantastic :techman:

Thanks. :)

You can send it to my email: rickywallace.1701@gmail.com

I had built a simple bridge for the interior behind those big 3 windows, but I forgot to save it, and blender crashed. First time that's happened in a few years. :)

Ouch, sorry. My stupid problem lately, the dogs (and I) keep knocking the power strip out of the wall, right before I remember to save...happens about once a week. :)

I'll get that file to you shortly.

Made a little progress...

That should make the bridge look more convincing, instead of a texture stuck to the window. :) It's very simple, but it took a couple of hours to put together... It's kind of inspired by the USS Kelvin's bridge.

More, later...

Here's some more... I built the rooms that go behind the other windows.

The ones on the saucer rim are like officer's quarters, and the ones in then neck and secondary hull have more greebly stuff and consoles in them.

The engine guts are next. :)

Hey, MadMan, do you have just a straight sideview of the ship? I just want to see it and compare to the original drawing.

I do really like the details on the rooms, though. You should stick some people in there!

Good mercy that's really turning out nice!:) Those interiors are really something. I think I said it before, but those bridge windows are perfect. Very cool front view. Wow.
I don't have a chance to get online at work, so it's nice to come home and be surprised like this. :)

Thanks. :)

I got the nacelle caps worked out...

Those should be pretty faithful to the original.

More to come...

Neat! Are they gonna light up? They should light up.

I also wonder if the deflector should be a different color than the nacelles.

Thanks. :)

OMG that is cool! Way better than what I had (I didn't even try multi-views of those nacelle-bussard-rotor "guts"...). You know, seeing it in 3D, I wonder if it would look better leaving off those chunky "intercoolers"??...or you could try some better looking parts:) I don't know.

Awesome.

:drool::drool::drool:

Oh yeah, and did I mention

I've said it before, and I'll say it again MadMan. I wish I had a fraction of your skill. Gorgeous work as always.
