Another earthquake hits Japan

Same area as the one last year, 7.4 on the Richter scale, people have been told to get to higher ground as there is a tsunami warning but for only 1 meter. Lets hope there is nothing bigger to come.

Oh shit! I must check if my friend Yun is ok.
Japanese Earthquakes often come in groups but I think after a 7.4 there won't be another big one. Plenty of aftershocks, though, possibly a few in the 6.* range

This is what happens when you live on a fault line.

Hopefully it's not as damaging as the last one.

With this and the -15 freeze about to hit UK, feeling a bit end of days :(

try to see the positive side: you can comfortably de-frost your freezer when it's so cold. You just put all the contents in a laundry basket and keep it outdoors overnight while the ice in your freezer melts. (1 cm = 2/5 inches ice doubles the freezer's use of electricity. The cold weather might help you save a few Pounds.)

And if you are near London: have a look at the German Christmas market at Hyde Park Corner. Just the thing to get into the Christmassy spirit!
(btw, -15°C are considered a warm noon in December/January over here in my part of Bavaria)

Btw, does anyone know what temperatures they currently have in Japan? It must be quite frosty there, too, at this time of year. Not a nice weather to wait outdoors for the earthquakes to stop.

I've been there in Sept/Oct and it was wet and miserable. Just like home infact.
