Animated Series Coming to Blu-ray.

I'll take "Things I Never Expected to Happen" for $100, Alex...

Interesting news. If this release is priced reasonably, then I'm there!

I am looking forward to this, for sure.

"More Tribbles, More Troubles" looks absolutely outstanding in HD as a bonus feature with the TOS season 2 blu-ray set.

Good to know. I was wondering how TAS would look in blu-ray quality. Looking forward to it too.

They should cartoonise a TOS episode in the same style, like they did with some of the missing Who episodes or better yet, employ some sound-alikes and give us a new episodes! Or turn the Phase II scripts into animated episodes. I should imagine with modern digital animation, replicating Filmation would be simplicity.

Interesting photo of Rand, Paul. I assume it was digitally created?

PS I'll be buying the animated blu-ray set.

There's a lovely lady who does cosplay shots in a TOS outfit so I pasted Grace's head from a Trekcore image onto her body and then used Gimp to cartoonise the whole image to even out the colouring. I hope she doesn't mind!

Netflix in HD tends to look like a DVD and their 4K offerings are equivalent to 1080p.
Netflix HD easily surpasses DVD.

TAS was completed on film, therefore it will look as good as possible in HD. You can preview this with "More Tribbles, More Tribbles" from the season two Blu-ray set.

Really can't see the point. Uprezzed DVD on animated stuff is good, especially when it's something as basic and lacking in detail as TAS.

I've got it on DVD, I've got the other Blurays, no doubt I'll get this, but not until it's around £10 or so...
