Spoilers Andor - Season 2

Which brings us to the most heartbreaking (and inevitable) conclusion: Bix is safe on Mina-Rau, reunited with B2EMO, quietly raising Cassian's son, and waiting for a husband father who will never return. :wah:
I'll spoiler code this, since it's about Tales of the Underworld.

The ending of Andor has an interesting parallel to the story of Bane, Arin, and Isaac. Arin spoke of a future that Bane never knew about and withdrew to pursue it apart from Bane. Bix essentially did the same, and presumably Andor will never know.

It was pretty good. Called that ending pretty much. It's a shame we never got a Vader or Palpatine cameo at the end as well. I was seeing Vader choking out Dedra.

They should give this Gilroy person a old Republic show. Imagine what he could do with the Sith Empire? An Empire that actually lasted longer than 25 years.

Ok, that was interesting.

I find it odd, but maybe a little bit daring and refreshing, that this show is actually going to rely on Rogue One to be it's final episode. The story doesn't so much end or wrap up as it does BEGIN. And boy howdy, they weren't kidding when they said this would end literally in the moments before Rogue One begins.

The real star of this final batch was Kleya. Loved the actress, and the character finally gets some meat here.
Seriously. Elizabeth Dulau killed it in all three episodes, but especially in the first one. I look forward to seeing her in future projects (outside of Star Wars).

(I keep seeing roughly ROTJ era Carrie Fisher every time I see this character, and that's a little distracting, but I think that's pretty clearly a me problem.)
I didn't see it as a problem but I definitely noticed a resemblance throughout the two seasons. Hell, at one point, when Vel called out to Kleya on Yavin IV in the finale, I momentarily thought she said "Leia." Clearly we aren't the only ones who are noticing it.

Also, it finally just occurred to me watching that sequence, when Vel used Luthen's old code phrase, just how ironic "I have friends everywhere" is. Truth, in the sense that Luthen has eyes all over the galaxy. But ironic in the sense that he had to completely isolate himself and cut himself off from almost everyone to get there. He has no friends. Only agents.
Oh, nice catch. I love thematic connections like that. They happen a lot on this show and they're always quiet little moments that don't bring attention to themselves but are nonetheless extra rewarding when you connect the dots.

And finally, K2 being K2 remains my single greatest joy from this corner of the universe. We didn't get much of him, but he was excellently deployed when we did.
How fantastic was this final trilogy? I completely forgot every funny and awesome scene with K2 and they were all delightful. :D

Nicely spotted! I wonder if that was intentional or purely coincidental by the creatives. Probably the latter.

Nope. Neither of them were needed. Less is more. They were more effective as chilling shadows referenced by others.

...or funny asides from K2.

Was one of those flashbacks in episode 10 Naboo? You better be careful with rebel attacks there. That's the Emperor's home world after all.

Great finish, although it really wasn't: Rogue One is the finish, and it transitions seamlessly.

I'll post more on this later; I'm still processing it all.

One thing: I didn't see Dedra's fate coming, and I was overjoyed to see it. In the final analysis she reaps everything she sews. Perfect karma, and you know for her it's a life sentence no matter what.

Though it wasn't named, I too had that thought about the planet that Luthen/Kleya bombed for their cafe lesson. The water, and the architecture of the bridges, was very reminiscent of Episode 1 Naboo.

Rewatching, and oh man, the double entendre is killing me.

When Dedra confronts Luthen, before she shows her hand, she's pretending to be a customer. She asks if anything in the gallery is fake and Luthen hits her with "Only two pieces of questionable provenance in the gallery." He means the two of them. Can't believe I didn't catch that the first time around.

The writing here is stellar.
