And The Title Of Episode 8 Is...

Sounds to me like the sort of title that would come out in the series brainstorm list of ideas.

"We'll do two with the silence, pirates, a TARDIS-based ep and oh, I know, let's kill Hitler!"

Seems like the episode that will follow said game changer might be kind of meh.

I was going to comment that this must be the first time someone has panned an episode three or four months before it ever sees air...

...and then I remembered that (a) this is the internet, and (b) it's a Doctor Who board. :p

What I meant was that given that huge events that are going to occur fairly soon that following them up with an episode called "Lets Kill Hitler" seems a little inconsequential. Anyway, I never wrote that I wouldn't give the episode a chance and nor do I think it's going to suck.

Obviously the title is "Let's kill Hitler's Dog" which occult scholars acknowledge as the true master of the Third Reich (with the assistance of a hamster called Trixie who lead the secretive Cult of Thule).

Okay, that is a story that needs to be told.

Isn't it a classic citation of the temporal paradox that you can't go back in time with the intention of killing someone to stop an atrocity i.e. Hitler - although I'm thinking of the Doctor's death rather than actual Hitler. So maybe it's a deliberate double entendre.

If Trixie is having an affair with the Peking Homonculus then count me in. If they're resting the Daleks then they need some tough new villains to step up to the plate.

Given that all of the previews that are coming out now mention the "surprising" Episode Title reveal it looks like it's the real deal.

I'm glad that really is the title - I'm guessing it's going to be some kind of play on the "Hitler's Time Travel Exemption Act", demonstrating how and why time can/cannot (delete as applicable) be rewritten...

Oh I'm so glad I didn't read this thread and was taking completely by surprise. Biggest laugh in ages, fantastic

Unfortunately I had read the thread, but I still punched the air when I saw that they're going ahead with using it!

Of course now some people will complain...that should be entertaining, too!

I always KNEW there was something suspicious about Blondi. She's in an awful lot of the newsreel footage with all the top Nazi's.

Wow, I didn't think in a million years that they would actually use that title. I saw this thread before the episode, but I still laughed upon seeing it on the screen.
