And the Next Cancelled Show is...

I wonder if they're old enough to be considered public domain like Steamboat Willie. They should be getting close. I remember some of them pushing WWII-era "War Bonds" and talking about gremlins infesting C-47 Skytrain cargo planes.

No, not in the public domain yet. Those old works go into the public domain 96 years after they were first broadcast/shown to the public. Steamboat Willie was released in 1928 and went into the public domain in 2024 – so the Looney Tunes stuff from the 1940s still has it at least 10 years under copyright.

I don't have MAX, but that is a damn shame for those that do. Seriously, with the gutting of all WB material from there, what's the point of having it?

I mean, why get rid of LOONEY TUNES? LOONEY TUNES????!!! Those are timeless classics!

Probably because nobody is watching them. I am guessing Looney Tunes is something only old people might still be into. What's terrible about this though is how much lost media is going to be created by the desire to look at just the bottom line.

They were the studio behind The Matrix, Fury Road and The Joker.
As part of the bankruptcy, those properties, along with 98 others, are free to be sold to other studios.

and in typical fashion they'll probably be sold low price so those handling the bankrupt can get their money, some of the secured creditors will get a bit and everyone else will be royally screwed.
