And the Next Cancelled Show is...

HBO cancels Run after one season.
Not a surprise. I really wanted to enjoy that one, but the plotting was nonsensical and the show was only held up by the strong performances from Merritt Wever and Domhnall Gleeson (and Phoebe Waller-Bridge when she finally showed up).

And honestly...there wasn't much more story to tell anyways.

Showtime cancels Kidding after two seasons. I never watched it, but people are saying the central storylines were wrapped up in two seasons.

Well they sort of was but they could have gone on for another year. This sucks because the shows was awesome. I thought I even saw adds for season 3 so this might have been sudden and I also wonder if because it involves kids they were worried about kid actors getting sick from COVID and them being responsible.

CBS renewed everything besides these shows.

From TVLine...
A CBS insider, meanwhile, confirms that freshman series Carol’s Second Act, Broke and Tommy, as well as venerable utility player Man With a Plan have all been cancelled. They join previously-axed Sunday drama God Friended Me will not be back for Season 3.
My wife has been searching for something to watch on CBSAA and tried Broke............Sweet Jesus it was bad. Supporting cast was OK but Pauly Perrette was wooden and did not look healthy.

She's 51 trying to pass for 31.

Girl deserves a gold star.

I was watching Personal Space all last night.

I missed it in 2018, or thought it was an English drama about office politics.

Richard Hatch's last role?

Nope.

He still has stuff coming out.

Colonial Zombie.

Something called Briarpatch got canceled by USA after one season.
When reached for comment, Adhar Ru'afo had this to say:

Despite good reviews and a quality library, the Peacock app has only been downloaded about 1.5 million times via the U.S. App Store and Google Play in its first six days of release. By comparison, Disney+ had 13 million downloads and Quibi had 1.2 million downloads in their opening weeks.

There might also be a consumer disconnect between Peacock and NBC. It would've been like CBS naming their streaming service Eye.

I think it’s streaming fatigue. I personally don’t want yet to pay for yet another streaming service. I’m sick of that endless shit now - it’s starting to get too expensive, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in that sentiment.

I downloaded it. I was surprised that it is for the most part free and only ad supported......they have done a shit job of advertising it. There's not really any big draw as of yet. Maybe they are waiting for some of their originals to get ready before they make a big push..........IDK.

I think it's a combination of both of these. Looking at my phone right now, I have Netflix, Hulu, CBS, Disney+, Tubi, and Kanopy (free movies via the college library I work at) on there; of those six, I've mostly been using Netflix and Disney+ (though that will probably change when Lower Decks starts airing next month). Even if I were to just sign up for the free version of Peacock, I don't know that I'd get much use out of it.
