Jay's enthusiasm was rather infectious
How is he? Does he still appear in anything?Jay Leno's Garage has been cancelled by CNBC after seven seasons. This comes two months after Leno was badly burned when a car in his garage burst into flames, and a couple weeks after sustaining multiple broken bones in a motorcycle accident.
A shame; Jay's passion for cars really showed through, and I found this show to be more enjoyable than the later seasons of the Tonight Show under his tenure (both before and after the Conan debacle).
But he didn't just do the voices. The show is really his show. It's personality and edge comes mostly from him. Plus lets face it but he has a very dark sense of humor that is hard to find in eve edgy comedians. I can't help but think the show will feel like a shallow copy of what it once was. It might even be passable to some extent but right now it has been one of the top 10 shows on tv for awhile and I don't see it staying their.
He's going back to Vegas to do stand-up, and he hosts a syndicated revival of You Bet Your Life that's produced by Fox Television Stations, but assuming Jay Leno's Garage doesn't land elsewhere, it'll be the first time since the mid-80s that Leno hasn't been employed by NBC Universal in some capacity. How is he? Does he still appear in anything?
You do realize that was a joke right?Possibly because he's not really an actor or a voice actor? If you've seen him in some of the skits that were produced for the Tonight Show, and to some extent Jay Leno's Garage, it's clear that acting isn't his strong suit.

Or do we need to add [sarcasm] or [humor] tags??
Well, in my defense, some people have a history of postings that are hard to parse.
I don't think he is, but I can if you'd likeAre you calling me fat?

Also, putting a show on hold--potentially for years--for just one person is just not happening. That's a lot of people effectively out of work with very little notice, and good luck reassembling everyone again at the other end of it.
IMO they should either kill it now, or pivot the show in a new direction. Trying to recast *those* roles in *that* show and act as if nothing have changed is just not going to work. It's not just about mimicking the voices; the character performances are of a quasi-improvisational style which for better or worse is specific to *that* actor.
With him quite rightly out of the picture, the smart move seems to be the move the talent they already have on the show to centre stage rather than try and fill that impossible void.
