Eh. I stopped watching years ago. I got so sick of Carrie's shit. No matter how much I love Mandy Patinkin and his performance as Saul, I couldn't take any more of that.

I gave up on it during the 4th season, I think, when they reformulated the show into something a bit more mainstream thriller and less interesting (to me anyway). I felt the first 3 seasons were a bit more fun.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
After the unwatchably bad third season it's just what the show needed.

From TVbythenumbers.....
The news of the “Shooter” cancellation comes just a few weeks after USA said goodbye to another one of its original series, the sci-fi title, “Colony.” However, the network has also made another big push in developing its programming lineup, with USA handing out series orders for a total of 4 new titles, including a spin-off set in the same universe as the “Jason Bourne” films.
So Shooter and Colony are canceled so they can make Jason Bourne TV show without Jason Bourn?
At least they're not ending it with the ending we got this season.Homeland is ending with it's 8th season next year. It was finally confirmed on Facebook.
Netflix has cancelled talk shows The Break With Michelle Wolf and The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale after less than a year, according to our sister site Variety.
We already know that Hasan Minhaj has a new show coming out in October called Patriot Act, so probably that.Well, let's see what else Netflix will try to replace Chelsea Handler's show with.

I couldn't disagree more. It all comes down to the angle and presentation. Best example is one of the newest shows, Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas, which deliberately turned its focus away from Trump and explored more local issues. The first half of each episode discussed a variety of issues in short bits and the second half had a season-long focus: The plethora and long-lasting issues in police departments in many cities across the country. In those segments, Cenac traveled to the city and interacted directly with the police department, local community, and any other relevant bodies.Maybe these political talk shows just aren't meant to be. I think on some level people only have time for a few of these kinds of shows in their watch rotation and I am guessing Daily Show,Samanta Bee,Bill Maher,John Oliver etc are already doing that. They aren't like tv shows were you can put of years before watching. These shows are very topical and thus you got to watch them almost as soon as they come out which means it's not good when you have a to many of them out their at once.
Jason
I still need to watch that special but I've always been very impressed by his work, both with and without The Daily Show (such as the White House Correspondents' Dinner, variety of interviews, etc.) and I trust his new show will continue to do that great work.Ah. Missed that. I'll give it a try, even though I wasn't that impressed with his stand-up special, as, on the other hand, he was one of the better parts of the post-Stewart Daily Show.
I imagine Minhaj's show will be weekly like Wolf's and Handler's shows were. You can't binge watch political or talk shows. Joel McHale's last six episodes were all dumped at once, they need to be about current things. He'd be best at YouTube.

I think the problem with Michelle Wolf's show was a lack of focus. While I appreciated her very deliberate attempt not be so reactionary to everyday news and Trump in particular, she didn't seem to have much of a direction. Her best material was just an extension of her stand-up.
