Love the show, glad that it's getting a proper ending:

When I first created the world of Mr. Robot, I thought it would be a niche television series with a small, cult following. Over the past three years, it has become so much more, and I am continually humbled by the show’s recognition and by the amazing cast and crew that work tirelessly to help bring my vision to life. Since Day 1, I’ve been building toward one conclusion — and in breaking the next season of Mr. Robot, I have decided that conclusion is finally here. Everyone on the creative team, including the amazing people at USA and UCP, didn’t want to say goodbye, but we ultimately have too much respect for Elliot’s journey to extend past its inevitable ending. Therefore, Season 4 will serve as the final chapter of the Mr. Robot story. To fans of the show: Thank you for the past three years, and I can’t wait to share this exciting final season with you.

Netflix revives Designated Survivor

and of course it has it's 4th showrunner (what a mess) in three seasons

It's more than that if you count the creator and the pilot had a different showrunner. So 5-6 really.

Just let it die! Colony is dead and that show is wonderful and would be amazing to get it's conclusion. No one likes this trash, it's horrible. It's a mess, just let it die and do another West Wing like show after House of Cards finally packs up shop.

Ugh. Let it die already! It had a great premise on paper but the execution has been absolutely horrible...and that was before the constant changeovers in showrunners.

Designated Survivor was West Wing-lite combined with 24-lite and it was a weird, underwhelming mix. It felt like the political side was being written by people who only knew of politics through The West Wing but copied it at a grade school level, and the terrorism side was just dull and stupid. Then you had the cliffhanger they pulled out of the air to end season 2.

What was the stupid cliffhanger?

I agree that they should just let the show die. To be honest it's must be hard though to do a White House type of show nowdays because nothing beats what is happening in real life. A issue that impacted both "Veep" and "House of Cards."

What was the stupid cliffhanger?

One of the main cast members on the political side of the show was shown meeting one of the villains from the secret agent side of the show and giving something to her. It was all completely out of left field. If she's committing treason or if this was part of some larger unspoken plan, they still pulled it out of thin air.

Don't worry, 2-3 show runners later they will completely forget about that stupid plotline.

They really should just go full 24 and get crazy with the show. What's the worst that could happen? They get canceled?

On another topic, the 8 episode Veronica Mars continuation is supposed to start filming in about 6 weeks.

Is everyone back for the "Veronica Mars" return? I really wish the sheriff guy hadn't been killed. Jerry O'Connell wasn't a very good replacement.

The one thing we know about the new miniseries is that there is ANOTHER police chief, a black woman this time.

The reports indicate that Kristen Bell and Enrico Colantoni (who played Veronica's dad) are returning. I don't think there have been any other cast announcements.

I wonder if they will use it also as a means of a backdoor pilot to create a new "Veronica Mars" with a younger character.

More and more these days, I find Netflix picks something up without regards with quality, especially when it comes to cancellations. It's as if they do it just to be able to claim they have a lot in their slate.

Yeah, South Park took a dig at them last year about giving shows to damn near anyone who came along with some half-assed idea. There may actually be something to it!

Those things are true but the upside is if you make enough shows you will naturally get hold of some good ones by casting such a wide net. Not sure how they are able to afford it all but they seem to have a unlimited amount of money.
