I had an evil thought last night as I was drifting off to sleep, and it made me laugh so hard I woke completely back up.
We're going to see the movie on Saturday night in a group of about 16 - none of which, save for me, have had any of the movie spoiled for them. We're getting there and sitting down 45 minutes before the show begins or as close to it as possible to get good seats.
I imagined myself getting up about ten minutes before the start, walking up to in front of the screen, facing the audience and saying, "Ladies and Gentlemen! Data is alive, well, and the captain of the Enterprise! Prepare yourselves, because over the course of the next two hours you will witness the destruction of Romulus and Vulcan!"
Clearly, I wouldn't make it out alive - and I'm not going to really do it. But thinking about the mayhem was just deliciously funny.
