Other than the interracial kiss, "Plato's Stepchildren" is just a waste of celluloid ("I'm Tweedle Dum, he's Tweedle Dee"...please!)
("I'm Tweedle Dum, he's Tweedle Dee"...please!)
I'm going to get murdered for this, but I HATE 'Amok Time.' Just so awkward...it gives me the creeps, seriously. Actually, I find the whole concept of Pon Farr to be awkward and creepy.
I like 'The Apple'! I just rename it as 'Mr Spock's Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day.'
My mental stability is in doubt because of which episodes of a TV show I like/don't like? I think that's a bit of a stretch...

It was a joke...
And The Children Shall Lead is so, so bad. The Alternative Factor is pretty horrible too.
While it's never been one of my favorites, I don't think Patterns of Force qualifies as a stinker. It's certainly not one of Treks shining moments, but it is not one of the worst moments either.
Many fans find Plato's Stepchildren embarrassing. It had to be embarrassing for the actors too. But I think that part of the point of that scene was to show how people with great power become so arrogant and condescending that they actually find the embarrassment of others entertaining. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The scene makes the audience uncomfortable. Perhaps it is supposed to. I don't know. Maybe they just got sick of Shatner's ego and decided to take him down a notch.![]()
I, Mudd.
I, Mudd.
And miss out on Spock's "I love you, however, I hate you" scene? Never.
