But, in markets with much more revenue potential and with better financial backing. That's not to say the XFL won't be threading a needle too, but they have a better chance than the AAF.Ominous sign for the XFL, which will be playing in the same window?
It's true. People think there is a gap in the Spring because there is no NFL, but the sports market is pretty saturated in the Spring. There is a small window around summer time where there is primarily only MLB, but it is an uphill battle regardless.I just don't see the market in the Winter/Spring for professional football. They are minor leagues competing for eyeballs/dollars against the NBA/NHL/MLB/MLS and other entertainment options.
AAF dies before the end of it's first season. https://www.cbssports.com/aaf/news/...h-two-weeks-left-in-inaugural-regular-season/
Next up, the XFL. Any bets on how long that one lasts? LOL
I predict the XFL will run the NFL out of business.

Nostradamus, is that you?![]()
This story says the NFL is "discouraging" teams from signing those guys, but a story on espn.com says KC already signed a player.

Weird stuff.
I'm surprised the NFL allowed the AAF to exist for this long.
What do you mean by "allowed?"
Doesn't the NFL sign players sometimes from the CFL? Seems like they are just being petty that another league dared to come in and challenge them.
Don't they find...ways, to drive rival leagues out of business if that's their wont?
