How the hell is he not iconic?
To think that the literal star of the original trilogy—the sole actor whose name appeared first in the credits in all three films*—is more appropriately referred to as one of the "iconic" actors of the franchise, to differentiate him from those who somehow aren't iconic, is actually to understate his significance. Amusingly, that itself is an understatement.

* - whether he had top billing or shared it with Ford and Fisher

Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher shared top billing in the OT. Liam Neeson had top billing in TPM. Ewan MacGregor had top billing in AOTC and ROTS. Ford had top billing in TFA. Hamill had top billing in TLJ and Fisher for TROS. Point being: no individual solely had top billing throughout a trilogy.

I'm pretty sure Mark Hamill's name was literally first every single time it appeared in the OT.

Actually, Carrie Fisher had top billing in The Rise of Skywalker, at Mark Hamill's insistance. (48 second mark)

Ford doesn't exactly need the money. Though maybe he had his eye on a new airplane for his collection, thus explaining why he took money to play The Red Hulk.

One of the few total and genuine surprises. Right up there with Tom Baker in Day of the Doctor.
Ah, I take it you missed it a few days earlier when Tom Baker spilled the beans in an interview?

Now, Paul McGann showing up in Night of the Doctor. That was one of the few times in adult life I've been genuinely surprised. I still remember my reaction to that. I literally screamed "The FUCK?!!"

It was advertised with "Paul McGann's amazing return!"

And yes, I thankfully missed the Baker interview.
