How the hell is he not iconic?

To think that the literal star of the original trilogy—the sole actor whose name appeared first in the credits in all three films*—is more appropriately referred to as one of the "iconic" actors of the franchise, to differentiate him from those who somehow aren't iconic, is actually to understate his significance. Amusingly, that itself is an understatement.

* - whether he had top billing or shared it with Ford and Fisher

Hamill had top billing in TLJ and Fisher for TROS. Point being: no individual solely had top billing throughout a trilogy.

While Hamill’s name was first, Hamill, Ford and Fisher’s names all appeared on the same line on the same card which indicates shared top billing.

Now, Paul McGann showing up in Night of the Doctor. That was one of the few times in adult life I've been genuinely surprised. I still remember my reaction to that. I literally screamed "The FUCK?!!"

Now, Paul McGann showing up in Night of the Doctor. That was one of the few times in adult life I've been genuinely surprised. I still remember my reaction to that. I literally screamed "The FUCK?!!"

It was advertised with "Paul McGann's amazing return!"

And yes, I thankfully missed the Baker interview.
