Spoilers All Things STAR WARS - News, Speculation & Spoilers Thread

now that Acolyte has ended, does anyone knows the release date of Skeleton Crew? or the month?
Nope.

Lego set leak gives us some hints of characters and ship. But, probably will be announced at San Diego Comic Con.

Nope. I got this from a friend who found it somewhere online.
A reverse image search did not yield much. Possible Deviant Art artist, but that was only for the Starkiller portion.

I've been off the Star Wars comics for awhile, the constant tracing (especially face tracing) in the main Star Wars book just drove me nuts (and the writing wasn't doing much to compensate) and the Vader book I was enjoying ended. Maybe there will be a decent jumping on point soon., going by that ad.

So does this mean they're going to keep going past Return of the Jedi then? I was wondering what they were going to do once they got to that point.

I would guess between the Battle of Endor and Battle of Jakku. That's basically a year.

Or maybe they will move into the Sequel Trilogy era again. Maybe prepare for the Rey film.

Just a general FYI; As I discovered when I attempted to delete ''The Acolyte' entries; I seem to no longer have the ability to edit the OP of this thread (one assumes there's a 12 month cut-off?), so that list of upcoming projects is going to get more and more out-of-date starting now. Not sure how to proceed. Starting a new thread just for that seems counter-productive, and posting periodic updates of the whole thing in-thread seems pointless as a reference source as it'll quickly get buried and become a pain to track down.

Between Aftermath, BFII, Squadrons, Alphabet Squadron etc. The year between Endor and Jakku is already fairly well covered in the broad strokes at least. Trying to weave a narrative though all of those seems like more trouble than it's worth.

I mean they could fast forward a bit to show us what Han, Leia and Luke were up to between Jakku and Mando season 2 . . . but that feels unnecessary. From what's already been told, one gets the impression they mostly go there separate ways and things settle down, as one might expect they would. I'd rather they not manufacture more dramas and crises for the sake or it the way the EU tended to do, and actually just let the characters live in peace for a time.

Personally I'd rather they abandoned the trend of just sticking with the main OT cast between the movies, and switch the flagship book to an anthology format. That way they can tell stories at literally any point in the timeline, with any characters they like. Even (shock, horror!) some wholly original characters and settings! Maybe limited run arcs for 8-12 issues with maybe a short one-off story per-book?

@Reverend, I recommend reaching out to  EricF in QSF thread about the board upgrades. I know there's been discussion there about extending edit limits on a case-by-case basis for places like the Fan Art forum.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too.

Do we know much about what the main characters were up to in the time leading up to the Battle of Jakku? From the bits and pieces I've read about the Battle of Endor to Battle of Jakku era, it seems like most of the books and things in that era are about new characters.

There will also be a four issue Ewok series set post Return of the Jedi.

If we don't get a version of this chapter from Battlefront 2, I will be extremely disappointed. ;)

I've always been a huge fan of the Ewoks, so I'm really looking forward to that. I wonder if they'll work in any Easter Eggs or references to the Ewok Adventures movies or the cartoon?

Princess Kneesaa from the animated show and the Gorax from the movies have already been introduced into canon by way of Forces of Destiny.
