The Thin Blue Line, Red Dwarf (obviously), A Bit of Fry & Laurie, Mr.Bean, Allo’ Allo’, Are You Being Served?, Blackadder, The IT Crowd, The Cleaner, just to mention a few…
No idea if they're all on Britbox but check out:Can anyone recommend any other good British comedies on Britbox?
I may re-watch Bottom, if it is on Britbox.
I imagine whoever it was who had begun initial conversations with Doug were called into a meeting by their boss (and/or their bosses boss) and told "No more scripted. Cancel any pipeline" rather than strung him along knowing they weren't going to put anything into production.Especially unfair when they said to them "lets do this" and then turn around and tell them they changed their minds after a script was written and they were all set to come back. Stinky.
Years back when revived on Dave there was talk of a stage show set between seasosn.Does that mean no more Red Dwarf???
No more scripted, huh?
Red Dwarf should do a LIVE show.
Broadcast it everywhere simultaneously, and let the Smeg fall where it may.
It means no more commissioned by and made for the Dave UK channel. Unless they change their stance. Which is unlikely.Does that mean no more Red Dwarf???

He's done it numerous times in audio books. And Smeg Ups. And Smeg Outs. And the actual show (Queeg for one and there's a smattering of episodes where he does Kryten to mock him, of course). That's a good point. Barrie's such a good mimic that he could do the whole thing himself pretty convincingly. Though of course, it would be better to do it full-cast.
I wanted to start a thread for all the smegheads out there. So, grab your thermos, sandwiches, corn plasters, telephone money, dandruff brush, animal footprint chart, and 1 triple thick condom.
You never know...

Personally it's the first two. But that just shows my age.I'd say a mod may come along and teleport this to the SciFi forum, but it would mean changing the bulb.
For me Series' 4 and 6 were the best. DNA (S4), White Hole (S4), Psirens (S6), Legion (S6) & Quarantine (S5) are probably my top 5 episodes.
It's all good though. S7 and S8 get a lot of vitriol, but they were OK, just different. Back To Earth aka" "Series 9" gets similar feedback.
Great British humor through and through, with just enough science to keep it sci-fi.

He did a lot of voices for Spitting Image, including Reagan. He's done it numerous times in audio books. And Smeg Ups. And Smeg Outs. And the actual show (Queeg for one and there's a smattering of episodes where he does Kryten to mock him, of course).
And I think he also did the VOs for the body snatcher episode.
